Just want to ask those who has PS3 ...
if it is possible to watch or play PS3 using HDMI and AV cable at the same time?
HDMI is for video output and the AV cable for audio output simultaneously? Thanks..

Yes, you can assign your video through your HDMI and your audio through your analog stereo cable.

in the XMB menu, find the display setting and from there you can choose from what kind of connection you want to use

Nothing beats the HDMI to complete the true theater experience. Just be sure you have the proper equipment for it.

hi there just a tip. since u have a sammy hdtv i suggest you buy the hometheater too then hook up your ps3 to the home theater via hdmi or optical cable to truly hear 5.1 DTS if supported when u play games that support that you'll hear the characters sneaking up on you from the rear or yelling from either side and explosions from every where

I haven't tried it coz i thought the PS3 connected directly to the HDMI of the LCD TV is better. How about for movies?

use the optical cable connecting the ps3 to htib at "digital in" mode to enjoy surround sound while playing when watching movies, automatic yan pag dvd using the htib's player. if ps3 for movies..digital in pa rin.. ot: im contemplating tuloy to sell my 2.1 set up para makapag ps3, then use my htib na lang... pero nung nakikinig ako audio kanina (pinoy rock pa a, sampguita)..iba talga SQ pag malaking speaker at amp gamit kesa htib rin. sa hilig natin na to.you cannot have it all.
