Hey guys I just saw a promo on HBO where they have HD service "in selected territories only". I heard they'll have it in Hong Kong and Singapore. Does anyone know when this is coming to the Philippines? I already have Skycable HD and I'm dying for new content. Cheesy thanks!

just my own opinion but HBO Asia sucks. HBO used to the premiere movie channel in the Philippines but a few years back they got beaten by star movies Their pq is still better though. my point is they should improve their content first....

does that mean Cignal has HBO HD exclusively? I also read somewhere that it comes free when you subscribe to the HBO pak.

Personally I like HBO more than star movies - Since most Sony, Warner Bros, Dreamworks, Paramount and even Universal movies make their TV premieres on HBO, while STAR movies usually has MGM, FOX, Disney/Touchstone.

As per Johnston of PEX who works for SkyCable,

Starting Dec. 28, 2009, HBO HD will be added on SkyCable's HD Package.

This is confirmed. I talked to a Skycable CSR, HBO HD in now included in sky's HD package at no extra cost...for now. Smiley

skycable has increased their monthly fee from 820/month to 1000/month aside from the 499/month for the HD channels since they added HBO-HD a month ago.
lumalabas 226/month per HD channel... not bad.
