Heroes Season 3

Not as engaging as Heroes Season 1 & 2.  Seems like my interest in Heroes is waning per season. Oh well. Hope Season 4 is better...

What Dreams May Come

My wife asked me to order this one, so I did (via oreoshake). Not bad, the effects were great & the colors  WOW! Although Robin Williams is again Patch Adamish in here, it was tolerable.

Bruce Springsteen & the E-Street Band: London Calling, Live in Hyde Park

How was it jas? Am a big fan & the last dvd I saw was Live in Barcelona.

Was there a tribute to the late Danny Federicci?

^ Great 3 hour long concert. Springsteen's energy & intensity is still incredible, considering he is already 60.

I just don't like the DVD release packaging (cardboard slipcase similar to his recent albums) as the discs become prone to scratching.

No tribute to Danny Federicci.

I also didn't like Magic's & Working On A Dream's packaging. Might wait for the bluray's price to drop then.

Thanks a lot!

Its Alive (2008)

-the remake is no better than the original.   I was expecting more vivid gore but it fell short of my expectations.  Even modern special effects weren't utilized.  The baby was never shown until the end.   Bad acting...a waste of time.

Kick Ass

-Aaron Johnson plays well as the nerdy kid who had the guts to try to kick bad guy asses.  Nicholas Cage who had an exemplary performance specially until he was being burned to the balls.  He really does well in superhero movies.  The girl Chloe Moretz (Diary of a Wimpy Kid)  as Hit Girl just showed some girl power here. I just find her acting and dressing up mature than her age.  Seeing her with Big Daddy fighting those bad guys really want you to cheer her on. Thought initially that this was made mainly for teens and kids but I was wrong after seeing all the gory scenes. Probably influenced by the anime era and Kill Bill.  Kids would identify with the young heroes but this could also have bad influence with the violence.

Not your average superhero movie. Highly entertaining.  Looking forward to a sequel.
