question:  if I download a movie in blue ray format and play it through my ps3 into an HDTV, would the resolution be the same if I play it from a blue ray disc? Huh

Hi sir... I don't think this discussion is allowed here. But to answer your question, most of those blu-ray downloads are in 720p... which is good enough for an HDTV. However, real blu-ray discs comes with 1080p resolution, so unless you have a keen eye for detail, you really won't see any difference.
