Yes, it's R1.  But most DVD players can be unlocked easily, and units from some manufacturers (notably Phillips) are unlocked when purchased...

my cousin went to san lazaro but didnt find one. sad... im getting desperate, i might get one kahit pre-owned as long as the condition is good. huhu
