I would like to get rid of multiple chapters. My nephew always been skipping the chapters and in effect his little sisters does not appreciate the movie.
I tried to use Nero Recode but it still saves in chapters.

It's been quite a while since I last ripped a DVD into my PC but I distinctly recall getting the VOB files which are just 3-5 files, not chapters, though the software did have the option to copy by chapters.  Forgot the name of the software but it was just one of those downloadable freebies.  I also don't want to copy by chapters.  The 3-5 VOB files are just fine.  I'm no longer updated in DVD ripping technologies out there and what I remember is that you will have to transcode each VOB file into an AVI file and use a concatenating software to link them all into one AVI file for non-stop watching.   Never got to do that though. .
