R3 version seems to have second discs for both DVD and Blu-Ray

I only post DVDs that I had seen on shelves.  (this is a thankless job!)   I 'd seen it last week at Astro Riobinson's Place Ermita, you can call to confirm if you don't believe.

MagnaVision stated they'll release it on December 9. So how should I know that it's already been released at that store? I don't magically pop in every mall in the Philippines.

Well, because you're contradicting yourself. You didn't consider techdude's earlier Shrek post as valid because you didn't see it in stores yourself. But with your Salt post, you knew it still wasn't available in DVD format at that time and yet you already posted it. You were only "saved" because techdude confirmed that it is indeed available already.

And what's with the sarcasm? Of course nobody's omnipresent. The general rule here is that you can post titles if (1) you've personally seen the DVD being sold in stores; or (2) somebody's confirmed that a DVD is already available locally. This being a DVD thread, we post only titles being available in DVD format. D. V. D.

techdude's been a most valuable contributor to this thread in case you didn't know that and I was frankly put off by the way you debunked his post. I know it sounds petty, but as techdude put it, it's a thankless job, so all we could hope to gain out of this is some kind of recognition that our DVD hunting efforts somehow become helpful to others.

The problem with Dvd_lover's post is that it insinuate that my post is bogus. Maybe he should have posted that 'I posted it when it wasn't officially released yet'. Some stores do break release dates unwittingly, maybe they were not informed or not  told to refrain from displaying the dvd before release date. But as said, I only post what I'd seen with my own eyes.  And my record will stand any scrutiny, so I don't think there's any reason to doubt it.

It's almost Christmas,  I rather put this matter to rest and enjoy the festive season! After all, with dvds declining rapidly, assaulted from opposite sides by  bluray and captain sparrow/downloads, another poster of new dvds is always welcome. Just respect each other's posts and word your posts accordingly. Peace! or should it be - Peace on Earth and goodwill to men! ;-)

I went to astroplus megamall the other day and they already have salt blu ray and I think they already have the dvd too

Okay....I'll have a lot of explaining to do.

Viva announced that the DVD release of The Sorcerer's Apprentice was moved to December 15. That's why I deleted my "Sorcerer's" post.

As for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse...the DVD ratio is NOT 2.40:1 as indicated on the DVD boxes...it's still 1.85:1 like the New Moon DVD. But it's still widescreen, so there. Subtitles and menu are better now.  The commentary is now mathced. (On the 2-Disc Collector's Edition though, subtitle is written as "Subtile". I know, "why make a big deal?" But still...)

Okay, and about that "Conflict" or whatever you call it....

Techdude, sorry. I assumed that you thought that Shrek was already out. So, there. I probably didn't say it right. Yeah, I know, it's a thankless job. So sorry, and thanks. I'm just trying to help the forum as well, I probably went on a wrong turn....

Bought the Shrek 4 Double Pack. The Donkey's Christmas Shrektacular DVD is R3 on the cover, and R1 on the disc. Played on my R1 laptop, it worked and it looks like an exact copy of the R1 version. Anyone who had that DVD?

checked mine, yup it's R1. anyway i noticed that the shrek 4 disc had no special features (parang movie 'only version'). is it really like that? or only in the double pack version?
