i think di talagang imported 'yung nasa slipcase. as far as i can remember, kapag imported daw, may number sa case. pag wala, nagpapanggap lang. hehe.

Ganun na nga siguro. Yung Imported sticker pa yung typical triangle na nasa upper right. But does it really matter to the buying public? Mas attractive pa nga yung 499 kasi may slipcase, DVD9 rin naman at same din na transparent case.

Oo nga.  Sa akin, balewala naman kung imported o hindi, basta pareho lang ang quality and features.  Kahit nga yung mga kahera sa Astro, nagtataka kung bakit pa nag-release ng imported na mas mahal kung pareho lang naman ang laman nung hindi imported.

I'm still glad Magnavision is releasing imported variants. I've always preferred them to the local variants, since isa yun sa mga kaprichuhan ko as a collector. When I started collecting DVD's, wala pa namang local variants eh, puro imported, so why break the habit?

Anyway, pag nag-sale naman, nagiging magka-presyo din yung local and imported, so hintay na lang ako. Unless if I noticed that a particular imported release is not commonly found in video stores.

So far, wala pa akong nakikitang ganito sa mga shops.  Last week, may binebenta dito sa Marketplace si k-ren.  Your best option would be to order it online.

This was not released locally. You'll need to order online or from a parallel importer, or go to specialty shops.

I think your best option would be to buy the Watchmen DVD, plus the Motion Comic DVD and the Tales of the Black Freighter DVD, which are all included in the 5-disc edition.  Of course, there is a major difference, especially where the Tales of the Black Freighter are woven into the Director's Cut of the movie.

^ Based on the backcovers, the contents of the Special Editions are different from the previous release. I think these new Special Editions are 1 disc & released to coincide with the upcoming Toy Story 3. These should be similar to the R1 Special Editions released May 11, 2010.
