No wonder Bluray adoption here is so low and the prices still remain high....

I'm not sure regarding BD-rom price & region-free but if it's cheaper than a BD standalone player, why not?

I recommend LG BD-560 bluray/mkv/dvd (multi-code) player w/ internet capability.  Nagkaroon ng BEST DENKI weekend promo dito sa Singapore at 199sgd lang (6.4K pesos) w/ free 3 bluray titles.

Yah, I have sampled most my mkv's which i is around 16gb filesizes and no issue so far. The problem so far is sometimes not able to detect my 1.5tb.

Not sure kung may aabutan kang promo during F1.  Usually mataas presyo to take advantage sa mga visitors. Last yata week meron pa rin nitong 199sgd w/ free 3 bluray titles.

Not sure. So far I know one shop in Khatib selling the same promo at 230sgd.

Yah, LG BD560 plays Bluray A, DVD multi-region, and ISO files as well. I have connected a USB extender where my 1x buffalo 2tb, 3x WD 1tb are connected to the player. But I dont power on these external HD all at once, only 1 at the time.

Anybody know if the Panasonic DMP-BDT350 3-D bluray player with dual HDMI outputs is availabile locally? This will enable you to connect the 3-D video output directly to the projector, and the other for lossless audio connection to the HDMI 1.3 receiver.

When do you think this will go out locally? Been eyeing this for sometime pero I was hesitant to buy this abroad because of warranty. And is the price really at 7999? This would be very competitive given that you'll have local warranty to cover your item. And LG is getting good feedback in terms of serving warranty claims.

Ako, I already have an Xtreamer to play HD movies pero I also started collecting BDs. I get to watch BDs only if I can borrow a PS3 from time to time. Been thinking of just getting the PS3 for gaming and BD viewing but chances are, I won't have time to play kaya BDP na lang siguro.

LG BD550 is around 170sgd only in COURTS shop here in Singapore. Bluray is Region A, DVD can be remote hacked into multicode. Not sure yet if its usb can read > 1tb hd in NTFS. Anyone tried this already?

Yup that's what I want to know too, though my LG TV recognizes my 1TB external hard drive and is capable of playing MKV files.

I think it's coming out this month but I cannot guarantee it.
