Is this a good buy? No, the Philips 2500 is not a good buy even at P11K. Dapat BD profile 2.0/BD Live, but this is only profile 1.1, which is not internet-capable. Some users are OK without an ethernet port, but only if the price is right. For me, a profile 1.1 player at P11K is still expensive. Yung LG BD 370 ang talagang sulit at P8K. ... Kahit nga P10K or P11k pa yung LG, sulit pa rin ...  |

Agree with Atty barrister. For profile 1.1, unless the price is at 6k-8k which is attractive enough & if users don't mind without the internet access.

its actually priced at 7999php. ako nga din surprised kc its my 1st time to see a bD player at that price.

Anyone here knows the phone number of Abensons in Walter Mart Calamba? I asked the salesperson in Avant (Abensons din ata) sa Trinoma and sabi sa akin pwede daw oderin dun tapos your choice of Abensons branch kung san mo kukunin. Dun na din icocomplete yung transaction.  |

Just want to share that as of June 14, 2011, this player is still available at sm appliance center for P6990 from original price of P17,000. I got one. Purely disk player lang with usb facility to allow upgrading firmware, no lan, no wifi. I have no need of any network feature it's cool |

i find it pricey. i bought a sony bdp-s350 from abenson in san francisco del monte, qc last year for P8t only. Notably, thwe said bd player is profile 2.0 compliant.

MIGHT as well buy my LG BD570 BLU RAY. Its bought last December 31st 2010, and is richly-laden with networking/storage features if thats what you want. North American import, 110v, Region A/Region 1, good as new. But the best deal is its superior Shadow Detail and tweaked Sharpness level. Its yours for P6,000. A sulit seller has this in her Ad for only P4,300. Is it still a good buy nowadays though it's only profile 1.1? If not, what else can you recommend? I can go as high as 6K only. Planning to give this as gift to my parents |
