According to this report, Avatar is scheduled for release in Blu-Ray and Standard Definition DVD formats on April 22, 2010, Earth Day.  No 3D Blu-Ray version planned though at this point.

Will this be a BD+DVD+digital copy combo? or BD only and DVD only type for Local consumption?

I do hope they offer the combo.
And I do hope this will not be one of those must NOT be seen Viva dvds.

saw a poster at astro.. free poster for early reservationa. P200.  i asked the salesclerk what is available, as of the moment they don't know yet what will be available here, but they are already taking reservations..

not sure if the poster with the reservation announcement is the same poster that will be given away. but the announcement poster shows only a ship hovering over pandora with a sky blue background..

I don't know if I will buy this after watching it on Imax. I might not have the same excitement and interest in seeing this on a standard screen.
