Made my reservation for P200. The DVD is worth P899 raw according to the Astro lady I talked to. Can't remember the price of the BD though. P1,895 yata. Somehow, I get the feeling that the DVD PQ would suck (based on the 2 previous installments), but will buy it just the same to complete my HP collection. I hope I'm wrong though and PQ would turn out OK.

according to the details I read on Astro, the 3rd disc "On the road" runs only 15 minutes long..........wut? is that all on the 3rd disc?

Hi everyone,

Yes it's a 15 minute promo piece made by Warner Bros. Pictures exclusive to the video release of Deathly Hallows 7.1. This added special feature (on DVD) is not included in the Blu-ray and DVD special features of Harry Potter 7.1.

Harry Potter DVD has lenticular slipcase.  but limited copies only. Most don't have slipcase

i should say that I am not totally happy about this release because of the difference of the art and spine of the slipcase given how OC I am in my collection esp in movie-series like this. but I have to be contented nalang din since im getting the Blu Ultimate Editions naman. Just bought the DVD to continue the series until 7.2 in dvd that i started since 2006.

im getting an r3 version for the first time because warner did not release a r1 two discer this time, and that simply sucks.

bakit ganun? sobrang dilim ba talaga ng pelikula? puro red, brown at black lang nakita kong kulay maski sa eksena outside ng ministry of magic, ang dilim ng eksena. tsk

...and dont get me started on that hp on the road bonus.  20 minutes naman at di 15 as previously stated BUT, the back over indicated the program was dd.  it was not.  i watched it after the movie using my ht set up, there was no sound.  only through the tv speakers can you hear the audio since my player could not detect any dolby tract.  the feature itself must have been a blu exclusive, though i could be wrong.

knowing an underhanded sales tactic like this make me feel really glad i'm a member of this forum hehe

Just watching this now in preparation for Thursday. Wow, this has got to be the worst DVD in my collection with regards to picture quality. Muddy, grainy images with so much banding! Hard not to think this isn't an intentional ploy by the parent company abroad to get people to shift to Blu-ray.

not only that. even people at the U.S. are arguing about the bad transfer.

Because of that, ni-rent ko muna, then off to the cinemas at 7.14

Checked out the DVD of the HP 7.1 BD/DVD combo today & boy, the PQ is really bad for a recently released title.

What's really odd is if you watch the Deleted Scenes on Disc 2, the picture quality is SO MUCH BETTER. Para talagang sinadya na papangitin yung main feature.

I haven't bought this title yet....I wanted to get it since it came out but I didn't have enough money...then parang nawala yung interest kong bilhin 'to...

Exactly what's been said all over. The Blu-ray is fine, it's the DVD that sucks.
