good player but im look for something thats within 10k.
i do these players get regular firmware updates? disk codec change for every major release. I don't want to buy a player that only get support for a year. i know some have that problem and i think the LG is that brand.

My copy of Xmen First Class won't play with my current Sony bdp-s570 and my kids' ps3 but plays on my old Sony bdp-360 which I still use at the office and my Toshiba bdx-2500 which I choose to retain and both units have never been firmware updated. Beats me!

I just recently bought LG bluray player BD660 with 3D capability for P8990. It plays 10000BC bluray title very well and its the only bluray title I have for now. No plan yet for firmware update if LG support can provide.

i still dont have a good picture on what player to buy.

So the LG 660 is a good player.
I will add this to my choices for new blu ray players.
How does it stack up against sony s380 and the samsung bd5100

Anyone here who owns lg bd670 and 690. Puro positive yung review plus me built in wifi pa and it features smart tv functionality. the 690 has a 250gb hd included. Currently nakasale sa amazon yung 670 at 114usd na lang, tempting.

As per avsforum, mas ok ang Panasonic kaysa sa other brands. Best bang for the buck na Bluray player.

In this regard, do you know how much ang Panasonic DMP-BDT110 or BDT 210 here in Pinas?

Is it available here?  Smiley

got mine for around 6400+ and it's worth it. it it plays any file i can think of, even hard to read mkvs. plus it can do 3d and currently has no cinavia.

web interface is also good, much easier to use than my pioneer 140
My only grip is the unit sometimes gets hot.
