Warner said they're going to start releasing this next month. Unfortunately, they're starting with the VCD version Huh which isn't exactly what we were hoping for. They're still checking if there's a chance that the R3 DVD box will get the green light in October.

Yan lang ang inaantay ko - yung tin case. Kung hindi comparable yung R3 package o-order na lang ako abroad ng R1 version. Smiley

The tin case, if implemented in the R3 version, could conceivably up the price tag to P4,500.

kasi naman bro firewired, the pre-order price for the r1 version on amazon is $89.99, pareho lang halos sa r3 version. if the  features are exactly the same eh di yung r3 na ang bibilhin ko, at least available na kaagad, but if not, i'm willing to shell out the same amount for the r1 extra-feature copy, and wait a while longer for delivery. Band of Brothers will be released next month, and there will be a pre-order promo with a twist. To prevent the Spider-Man giftset supply problem, Warner will use reservations made at Astrovision and PinoyDVD as their sole basis for ordering quantities from abroad. Sign-ups will start sometime next week and we will forward the reservation lists not only to Astrovision, but to Warner as well, ensuring that your order will be filled. We're supposed to get the edition specs today. This is a full R3 edition that's supposed to be the same as the R1 edition (5+1 discs) including all of the DVD-only features. Pricing is hovering around the P3,000 to P4,000 range.

Thanks for this great news, and I hope you do get the full specs and price details today.

Just a quick sidenote, if it's really P3000-4000, then for those with relatives coming home from the US/Canada this Christmas, the R1 from Amazon-Canada that bently is discussing in a separate thread is even cheaper - it comes out to US$52 (Shipping to the US included). Unless, of course, the peso continues its current free-fall. Sad

We just became associates of Amazon Canada today, so if you do order from Amazon.ca, please use the referral link at the bottom right of this page. Thank you! Cheesy

Same packaging for the Band of Brothers R3? Tin case? I hope same packaging, a good mini series deserves a special packaging.  And for a price of P3000-4000, another R3 good buy.  R3 is getting better and better Grin

In Amazon.com (US) it's US$89.99. Click here to view item.

In Amazon.ca (Canada) it's CDN$89.67 or US$57.63. Click here to view item.

Use the CDN$10 discount coupon, add shipping costs to the US (CDN$5.48), and the price comes out to around US$54 or PHP2900.

Hi FoXyyy,

<mod mode on>
Perhaps you would get more responses if you directed your question to a specific seller and posted your query at the DVD Marketplace Forum.  I would have moved your post myself but I don't know to whom you are directing your question.  The last few posts talk about their availability at amazon.co and amazon.ca and you'd have to go to their websites and put in your pre-orders yourself.
<mod mode off>

Thanks!

Band of Brothers R3 will be available by 2nd week November. No details yet on features but the set definitely comes in a tin case. Astrovision and PinoyDVD will have a pre-order promo that will help Warner estimate the number of copies to order from abroad.

BofB is considered a limited edition title that will be sold at a competitive price point if you order early: P3,000.

(Did your jaw just drop? Mine did.)

Promo details next week.

Ignore the ad in the papers. Thanks to Warner and Astrovision, A last minute compromise was reached yesterday to further lower the pre-booking/promo price to P3,000. The newspapers were informed but were unable to change the ad. As Astro posted, last day for the promo is on November 6.

Sign-ups begin next week.

If the features and casing would be the same as the R1 counterpart...P3000 pricing would be fair enough compared to the US$57.63 from Canada.

I have to think about this a lot.....hmmm.....makalabit nga si misis!  Wink

I hope the only difference between R3 and R4 would be the languages. I was really disapointed with the Spidey giftset not containing the 3rd disc.
