I just read this topic.

no,..

its not a guarantee, somehow we still do not know what is really causing the rot on the discs...

honestly, mukhang mas matibay ang jack sparrow discs...  Tongue

I just checked my collection..

Some of my CD-Rs naman, may mga spots na talaga, as in kapag hinold mo against the light, light passes through the spots. As in they were stacked on top of each other for years na.

Kailangan pa bang butasan yung silica gel pillows (pin holes)?

Its good that we have topics like this...I just finished putting those silica gels sa lahat ng collection ko...Now ko lang nakita me mga nag sta-start na magmold...Good thing nalilinis pa...Just use yung microfiber cloth, basain nyo lang konti then wipe nyo sa dvd...then dry it off with another miicrofiber cloth na dry...Thanks sa mga dvd gurus here, was able to prolong life span ng dvd collection ko...

Only disadvantage of the silica gel is that you have to let loose your collection...Nabuksan ko na lahat pati steelbooks ko... Grin

kung made in china at walang declaration, i will really think twice of using it.

If it is from US and it is not "declared", most probably it does not contain the said carcinogen.
