Noob question lang po: Why most members here prefer widescreen version rather than full version? For me kasi, I prefer full version coz parang naliliitan ako sa picture onscreen sa widescreen version 

It's simple really.

The widescreen version is how the director intends the viewer to see the film.
By watching the full screen version, you do not get the full picture because it is cropped at the sides to fit a 4:3 square-shaped screen.

You'll appreciate the the wide-view better if you have a widescreen TV

Spongebob Squarepants Viva release! It sucks bigtime! I bought it for my daughter though she doesn't complain about it since she's just 6 but when I heard it's SQ while she's watching I really got  disappointed why I bought these dvd's. Tunog lata! Mas maganda pa kung papanoorin mo sya sa Nickelodeon (cable). Never buy these dvd's!

The screen's cropped, so you only get half the picture.

Ah ok. Though sa widescreen version cropped yun picture coz may black bars on top and below . Thanks for the enlightenment

you'll get used to those black bars.  in time, hahanapin mo pa at magtataka kung bakit ala sila.

Anamorphic Widescreen version is preferred because it is the norm nowadays specially that LCDs and plasmas are built for AWS viewing.  AWS movies give out the best picture quality there is on the DVD.  Also AWS DVDs show you what is there on the theaters in full.  Fullscreen crops both the left and the right side so you don't get to see the "whole" picture.

MEET THE SPARTANS- pinagpilitan ng mga kaklase ko na bilhin ko. Hiniram nila pagkatapos kng panoorin. The movie sucks, but I chose the Tagalog subtitle- LAUGHTRIP!!!

For SAW box set naman from VIVA, I didn't regret buying it since I'm only after the movie, the main menu sucks, but I already decided to buy an R1 in some years later.
