On the Limited Edition R3 Superbit Deluxe Black Hawk Down, is the feature film spread across two discs?

just be sure to check the quality of the video and audio transfer, as well as the packaging first before you buy. medyo mahirap maghanap ng reviews for these rare DVDs kse nga, localized ang release.  Smiley

as for the reviews... ill try to collate reviews of these titles within the month

one korean release review i have found is the comparison of the r3 2-discs malena with the r1 malena... re video quality, r1 was better sound - i can't remember pero content wise r3 contains more special features although the r2 version has more special features (spread acros 3 discs) yun nga lang hindi kasi subtitled.

hay... obvious... wala akong ginagawa!

Big Fish Special Limited Edition (out this july)

ymeeh,

thanks again for the update. i think there generally would be no difference between the r1 and r3 releases, except from the dvd carton sleeve/package and the extended booklet. korean or asian studios always make it  a standard for their releases. pretty cool though and worth collecting.

some cool asian releases include chicago and ed wood, with the dvd package/sleeve (brown thing in Big Fish photo) and really extended booklet.

sana may bilingual text parang sa Canadian special releases. got a bilingual sleeping beauty and E.T. dvds where all french text are translated in english. 2 languages in one cover. Cool!! parang shampoo.. daming languages for different regional consumers.. Grin

no need to thank me. btw, musta yung bruce lee mo?

nyaiks.. pressure.. Roll Eyes

anyhow.. my simple opinion regarding the bruce lee collection (by spectrum studio):

packaging
- never seen anything like this before...
- very elegent thick silver leather-like (paper ala LOTR extended) cover for the case with chinese characters inscription
- collectible case has a magnetic lock to fasten/close the large wallet-like boxset
- sturdy binding, tin ends in every page, foil to cover sides of page, big bruce lee commemorative photos opposite each disc holder
- gold inscription on top of every disc holder
- elegant felt-like black cloth in case interior
- comprehensive booklet (in chinese) detailing the life of bruce lee. many collectible pictures premiered in the book.

transfers and soundtracks
- superb cantonese dts audio soundtrack for all 4 films
- superb transfers except for the way of the dragon (kinda out of focus in some parts) not sure if they have found the original negative of this film
- subtitles in english
- unedited anamorphic 2:35:1 presentation of all 4 films (with some mild nudity and violence)

features
- menus are easy to navigate and elegantly designed
- interviews with celebrities (US and Chinese stars/fillm makers/influencers) regarding bruce lee
- trailers (old and new) of each film
- archives of bruce lee's photos
- Star Movies documentary about bruce lee

overall, this is a collectible and (i must say with no strings attached) a show off dvd set tribute for one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of the 20th century. this collection, though not complete, is particularly better than its r1 release.  it is evident that much effort and labor have been given to produce this collection.
price though is slightly higher than an average boxset.. near LOTR gift set price.. Smiley but it's worth it..

hope our producers/studios here in manila would be inspired to produce something with this caliber of craftsmanship.. this dvd boxset proves that it is indeed possible.. Smiley

more similar asian dvd boxsets please...

cheers. Smiley

just remembrd something i've read from another forum "why do asians go gaga over packaging." sabi nila part of the asian culture daw. me thinks? di ba tayo asian coz with most of the dvd releases we have hir, it seems like those distributors don't care less about packaging.

btw, here's an almost similiar packaging to bruce lee's boxset

a better tomorrow- 3 discs limited ed

boss hemisphere, which part of the process can you not complete? 2 be honest, i really havent tried ordering from them but i've been reading quite okay feedback...

1. Bank Transfer
You can transfer the money from your bank account to our bank account.
In this case, because you have to pay additional fee such as a commission of your bank.
So we recommend you use "Payment through Paypal.com" when you order the goods which value is under $300.
And if you pay more than $300 through bank transfer, we will compensate for your additional fee and give you back some value more as below.

a. When your total price is under $300. : No Compensation
b. When your total price is from $300 to $500. : Compensation is your additional fee and $5 more.
c. When your total price is from $500 to $700. : Compensation is your additional fee and $10 more.
d. When your total price is more than $1000. : Compensation is your additional fee and $20 more.

This compensation value will be saved on your information in the form of "reserve" when we deliver your goods.

2. Payment through Paypal.com (Using Credit Card or Bank Account)
You can also pay the money to our paypal account.
In this case, you can pay the money without any additional fee. And you can use your credit card as well as your bank account.

then it would show na the bank account details...

tried it... pero kinancel ko din... (damn... di ko macancel) uh-oh

I tried dvdheaven too kaso i have to sign up pa with paypal so cancel ko siya since wala pa ako paypal account.

Saw another site which sells it for $20.00 ( http://dvdshop.mym.net/ ) kaso nga lang in Korean siya so I couldn't understand anything ... grrrr ... I think they are telling us na magtiyaga nalang tayo with the R1 na walang booklet  Grin
