saw the poll infront..

i think yung stores natin should be given free will sa price ng mga dvds nila just like sa states.

or yung tulad sa states where 1st week of release is cheaper. and the price goes up bit by bit as weeks pass by..

With any luck, the poll will hopefully encourage the local distributors to promote more PinoyDVD/Astro preorder promos.

Regarding fixed DVD pricing, it's driven by the politics between distributors and retailers.

If I'm not mistaken... there was an introductory offer for the Spiderman 2 Collector Gift Set that it comes with a bean bag?

I have a nice idea.  Why not mag usap lahat ng distributor para magkaroon ng exclusive sale sa mga member kasama na rin yung mga online member na hindi makapunta sa venue para lahat may participation.  And for every two or more tittle you buy may raffle ticket para sa mga freebees at Special Edition/Limited edition DVD, and ang grand price new model na DVD Player or Simple Home in a box HT.  Hmmm. siguro mas maganda sa susunod na grand EB uli natin para masaya.

Any suggestion.

I agree. Maybe it's time for us to be able to purchase online from distributors. It would greatly benefit us who are not from Metro Manila. The problem is not only our geography. Even though we can go to Manila with the intention to buy DVDs, nauubusan na kami (lalo pag limited stocks only). Online purchasing will be a great equalizer to all members.

What's funny about the idea? Do you have a better one? Why not spend your effort in coming up with a helpful opinion rather than ridicule other's suggestion? Geez, some people  Roll Eyes

Still... Cheers!!!

Think of it......

Great idea.  But they may encounter rough sailing, if I remember it right, e-commerce or credit-card online processing is not yet an accepted practice locally.  Am not sure about Bayantrade, do they accept credit cards?   I think it may also be good  if they offer their titles via those Cable TV sales/ordering.  Then they can do home delivery as well for a charge or for bulk orders.

Korek ka dyan.  Nakakapag fund transfer na nga tayong mga member when we purchase dvd to our co member or deposit to their account.  Im sure halos karamihan na ngayon eh me credit card na wala pang hassle sa delivery para kahit busy ka it will be delivered right at your doorstep.  I dont think there will be a problem with that.

Okay, this thread belongs to another topic.  But the title suits it and I think the Buenavista thread is misleading when mallwide sales are concerned because other distro are also involved.

And mallwide sales often involve stores other than Astrovision too, so unless they (Astro) sponsors PinoyDVD, the other threads are also misleading...

May sale sa Ayala malls (Makati) yata this weekend (Aug 18-20), so hopefully, the local DVD distributors will slash prices on some of their DVDs as they did before... my guess is that Kingkong is ripe for discounting...

MODS:  Please move this post to a new thread if you deem it appropriate

Nah it's fine here. The truth is, it's only Astrovision that's been very religious in updating us whenever there's a sale coming up. We don't get any monetary compensation from them.

Lately, the distributors themselves have been erratic when it comes to providing itemized lists for the sales. The standard answer is along the lines of "Basta, marami..."

The PinoyDVD.biz online store will probably participate in some of these events eventually so accurate information on sale items will probably be posted ahead of time so you can plan your online and offline purchases.
