Pero will again test try another back for R1 dvd.

Ok. So again, I tried to back up another R1 title.

It goes smoothly. The protection and regional coding were left intact on the original disc.

No more problems encountered.

Ok. I don't know if there are some issues with other dvd players. Since a friend of mine requested for a copy of a specific title.

I copied it, then tested it on my player if it will work. All is well. Then nung play na ng friend ko yung movie, sabi niya sa akin, nag error tapos di raw nag aapear ang menu.

Is it compatibility issue with the player or the dvd-r itself?

If you're only using freeware.  You can use Ripit4Me, along with DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink. DVD Decrypter alone won't work with some newer disks.  You can get RipIt4Me, DVD Decrypter, and DVD Shrink here:

If you only want to use one program to make a backup copy of a disk, try DVDFab 5.

Thanks aremdvna for the above links. I have been using DVD Shrink for a few years & vey happy with it. Easy to use & very intuitive.

I would certainly like to try other software as well. Heard about DVD Fab for quite sometime but it's not a freeware that put me off. For DVD copy/backup purpose only, in your opinion which software do you think it's the best?
