I had a collection of about 150 dvds.  Last month, I gave away all the Walt Disney discs (except Fantasia), other animation movies and movies for children to my niece and nephews.  I know that determining movies for children can be very subjective.  For example, I was very unwilling to part with Wizard of Oz but had to.  But I certainly kept Titan A.E. Now, my total collection is reduced to about a hundred, I guess.  I've been collecting for almost 2 years. :-/

wow, i really envy you guys!  just started collecting last december and you already have 34 dvd's?  that means you'll have over 300 discs by yearend!  you see, i started last december also and i now have six (6) + 1 coming courtesy of PARC.  since this is a very expensive hobby, maka-twenty lang ako this year, happy na ako!

i have over 400 DVDs. started when the format first came out.. 1997 i think.  1st DVD player nga was the toshiba SD-2008 yata.  pero before that i collected VHS since 1987.  i never got into LDs coz it's too bulky.

, but if you break down the box sets into seperate titles, it totals at around 423

btw..its my first year anniversary yesterday..bought my first dvd a year ago...at this rate, i'll be bankcrupt soon

im geared towards classic, foreign and independent films, i wouldnt really care less about "hollywood big budget" flicks, kasi u could always see them in cable anyways (although dumadami na yun mga titles ko na "hbb")

ohhhhh the agony of being a film buff!!  anali...i'll catch up on you one of these days!

toshiba rin ang first player ko.  SD-3006.  had it since 98.  the price of dvd way back then was still gold.  i also collected vhs and i still do, once in a while.  my dvd collection is just over 100.  and vhs collection ko since 98 ay nasa 1400+ titles.

I just finish entering all my DVD's on DVD Tracker and found out I have a of total 84 DVDs and at retail prices cost over $2,000. That's it. No more DVDs for me that is until next pay day.
