Does anyone know if this is going to be released here in PI? Any reviews?

Just got word that the "Live Show" (Toro) DVD wouldn't be available here in the Philippines since it's classified as a banned title. Therefore, Regal can't bring it in or sell it in the local market since it would be considered illegal.

It may be recalled that the said film was classifed by the MTRCB (with the decision reaffirmed by Malacañang) as "Rated X" reason why its public screening was withdrawn in local cinemas.  It appears that this MTRCB decision is carried over in VRB in relation to the title's video release.

Personally, I think this just makes DVD collectors more eager to buy the title since it harder to acquire.  As a rule, collectors prefer 'hard-to-find' items.  But I have confidence in the Filipinos' 'resourcefulness'.

Around $15 plus S/H. But if you know someone who will buy this title or other DVDs. You might be able to save a couple of bucks. For me, I'm just waiting for Regal to release all the Pinoy DVDs on my wishlist then I will buy. Also, Regal might have an offer of $9.99 each if you buy four[4].

I just got my copy at Astrovision today, for Php 450.

It was the last copy at Astro Virra Mall. I suggest you aficionados of Pinoy Skinflicks run to your favorite Astro branches now, since who knows if there will be some controversy causing this title to be pulled out again in the future?  

Edited to add: Going through this DVD copy and comparing it with the "Joey Reyes' Copy Torero Director's Cut" version, I must issue this warning:

There are apparently two different versions of this movie. The running times are exactly the same (107 minutes), but the contents are NOT. I'm not sure which other parts are different, but the very first "live show" featured on this new DVD is about 2 minutes shorter than what was seen on the director's cut.

So... caveat emptor.

The DVD itself is definitely babrebones

I beleive there were intentional cuts done ( Sorry I havent seen the unedited pirated vcd before, however viewing it.. it shows cut scenes)

Anyways, good thing the DVD itself carries a good film ( even with cuts).. the show itself is cool

I saw the VCD - some scenes were edited like the Ana Capri foursome and the toro scene of Klaudia where the guy does a difficult position, looks at one of the viewers and says "ok ba?"

That scene was memorable to me... sayang they edited it. Some of the sex scenes may also have been edited a bit... ang igsi eh.

The one that is UNCUT was the pirated version that came out before the movie's release. Weird.

Its the "CUT" version.

The one sold here in US is the "UNCUT" version.

One significant finding is the final scene were Hazel Espinosa bare it all. This is not included in the LIVESHOW Philippine Release however with the International Release, it is included.

There's a new "Live Show UNCUT" DVD released locally. The running time is identical to the previous release, and going through the first two "live shows" in the film, it looks identical to the first Philippine DVD release - with a bit less sex than the pirated "Joey Reyes' Copy Torero Director's Cut" version. I haven't gone through the entire thing yet, though.

The new DVD does have a 14 minute documentary on the controversy regarding this film's local release.

Oh, and it also has two forced trailers that you cannot bypass when you insert the DVD, eating up 5 minutes and 34 seconds of your life every time you insert the disc.

Not worth the upgrade, IMHO.

so this is not the new US Uncut version? even if it says Uncut, same as the first release pa rin?  Mr Hankey, look at the sort of "rape scene" ni ana capri. 'yun mostly ang cut scenes eh.
