It's discussed here: http://pinoydvd.com/board/index.php?topic=38097.100

Start on the last post on page 6, then move on to the next page.

I can't think of any other censored Philippine R3 DVDs, except for a few Tagalog films from VIVA, and a few titles where our local release is just the theatrical cut, not the "unrated edition" - like Team America and Midnight Heat

Regarding Once Upon A Time in America, would all Region 3 including the ones sold in Korea, HK (and others) be the same censored release? i got the digipak release last year. im wondering if i have the censored copy or not.

also, can we include Bridges of Madison County? i have noticed that all releases in all regions are full screen. is there a WS release of this title? hopefully the uncensored one.

thanks in advance.

on Gladiator R1 2Disc Signature Edition vs. R3 2Disc Collector's Edition...

i can't provide much information other than the listed running time for the R1 is six minutes longer than the R3. i think the R1 is listed at 2h35min while the R3 is listed at 2h29min.

i don't know where, or if, there was/were censoring in the R3, or there was a misprint somewhere.

Okay, according to Warner, DVD censorship is never done for the benefit of the Philippines since we're quite liberal locally compared to our neighbors. Case in point is Eyes Wide Shut where we got the uncut version which showed T&A. In comparison, Region 1 was digitally manipulated cover the nudity.

With Once Upon A Time in America, all the major territories (including Singapore and Korea) may have objected to the total nudity of the corpse which showed the pubic area in a medium shot. In any case, if only 1 master was produced, then it's likely that all Asian versions  were censored. They're still waiting for a more concrete assessment from their Singaporean headquarters.
