 Tama ka, pren.

Hindi sana ito Collector's Edition o Limited Edition. Kapag nagkaganoon. Matutulad ito sa Rizal DVD ni Blitz. Grin

Grin  Wait! Is it already available in PI? How much?

Good news, barrid.  "Yamashìta (The Tiger's Treasure)" has just been released at RegalFilms.com with a reduced price of $14.99.

"Hubog" and Bahay ni Lola" will be released on March 22 each pegged at $14.99 too. Smiley

Thanks Bartmaniac,  I noticed this one too while surfing earlier. Good deal, isn't it? Anyway, I haven't seen these movies. Maybe you or other here can give me a clue on which title should I get first.

Any news of being released these titles in PI?

Gosh! Three stikes and I'm out.Bartmaniac didn't like Yamacrapa. wcvmorasa felt something is missing from Ang Bahay ni Lola. And I saw Hubog from a pirated vcd and I'm not also . On the second thought, I might be biased because the VCD I've seen was theater cam shot. Last option would be renting out first those videos then decide if it's a keeper or not. Roll Eyes

I suggest renting first the Original copy of  Hubog. It was already release for rental in Video City Outlets.

Hi Barrid,

Sana I stop by on this thread and read you post. Unfortunately hindi  Cry.

Anyway, I bought the DVD. To my dismay the content was not that good. What you get is only barebones not even the usual Viva Behind the scenes Sad.

Suggestion:  Can't we make this thread a 'Sticky Thread' for this forum.  I think members interested in buying Pinoy DVDs follow this thread for leads and updates.  Also, this is the one thread in this forum which has the most number of views.

Hey xage, feel sorry about it. Sad Hindi bale, nadagdagan naman ang collection mo. At kung mura naman ang pagkabili mo, okey na rin. Wink

Anyway, how much did you pay for it? In my case, I have to order it on-line, so it might be helpful if you could tell me the price and even the store. So , maybe I could buy Yamacrapa or Bahay ni Lola over there when it is available.

Is the DVD from Viva or from Regal?

Thanks! Smiley

I Bought it from Astrovision in Alabang Town Center.

Not quite a good bargain for P450 especially As I mentioned, barebones itong DVD na ito. However the reason why I bought it is because "It is a collection to my end"

You notice din pala on my "Collection".

Anyway, The DVD nga pala is from Viva.

Hi Bartmaniac,

Just viewed it last night, mu goodness I agree with you.

The bad part of this film was everytime there would be a computer graphic effects involve the screen would have a blackbars on top & bottom (ala widescreen)

Not recommended for DVD viewing

Are Yamacrapa and Bahay ni Lola DVDs already available in PI? I wouldn't mind owning them as long as it is priced right.  Wink Sorry, have to ask this way. I rather buy these titles in PI and not on-line. If you knew where I'm  coming from. Roll Eyes Grin Smiley

Actually it was a vhs  I rented in Video City. However my gut feel is along with usual DVDs made here is that it would basically be the same as others.

hi guys,

i just recently bought a copy of the DVD of Pagdating ng Panahon and Hanggang Ngayon... Ikaw Lang...

although i had only watched the first movie, i noticed that there are no subtitles.. i believe this is one big DVD feature that they left out in a hurry to release the DVD of the movie.

i just find it discouraging why they didnt' put subtitles, because aside from this, nothing would really differentiate it from the VCD or VHS format coz it is clear that the quality of the movie isn't really very clear (you can still see the scratches and dirt as common with the films used in the cinemas).

its just i like watching these movies with my friends who are non-filipinos and the only way they could understand the movie is by reading the subtitles..

joeyboy76 You may be right in speculating that they must have forgotten to include subtitles in the Pagdating ng Panahon DVD. I have all of Joyce Bernal's DVDs - all except that one since I didn't enjoy that particular movie so I can't confirm if it's only with your copy or not.

However, I can assure you that with the other Joyce Bernal DVDs, the subtitles are very impressive. The tagalog and english translations were very accurate, the font was easy to read and are perfectly synchronized with the dialogue.
