 Hindi ko pa nakikita to...yung bang kay Montano. It is said to be the best done yet. Is it on DVD already...R1 that is? And where could I order one to ship over here in the US of Ahhhhh?

I have seen one the owner is Blitzkrieg, he was just lucky to get it as his first DVD, I have not seen any other copy, my guess is that it was a sort of a promotional disc.
I have high hopes that commercial production will commence soon.

pareng arvinjohn, I really doubt that he'll sell it.  Pwedeng makita at hawakan but bawal hiram.  Much more malabo for offers to buy!  It's the only copy I've seen so far, kaya medyo sought-after pa.  Ako na lang magbebenta sa iyo pag nakakita ako ng extra copy. hehehehehe  Ayos ba, Blitz?

tsk tsk tsk... nakakapanggigil naman yang DVD na yan... di ko pa rin nga napapanood ung movie eh... eto ba ung Rizal na si Cesar Montano ang bida... ang di ko lang maintindihan eh kung bakit ayaw pa itong ilabas sa market... since arguably one of the best films recently itong Rizal... at saka since meron na ngang naunang nailabas eh di ibig sabihin, naedit na nila for DVD format... sigurado namang kikita ito compared sa mga ibang local movies on DVD na karamihan ay unworthy to be in DVD... nakalabas na ung muro-ami... eh mas nauna pa yata ung Rizal doon...  may plano pa kayang ilabas tong Rizal DVD sa market???

I attest that this is the real thing, I saw this together with 7-8 members of the PinoyDVD community.
Actually, If Blitzkrieg is amenable, we can always "ehem", have it undergo some DeCSS reformating and later burn to a formatted disc, for distributon to PinoyDVD members.
I think there are some members here you have DVD-RAM that are capable of undergoing such process, for the benefit of the many.

hep, hep, hep!  Don't panic!  This is not the DVD release.  

It's a Rizal Collectors Edition alright but the video format is VHS (with English subtitles) that comes with a copy of the movie screenplay.

I think my sister (who works in marketing/advertising) got this as a christmas gift from GMA the year after Rizal was released. The package consisted of the VHS tapes and a handsome coffee-table book on the making of the film plus an annotated screenplay. I think GMA Films used this as their requisite stocking-stuffer for the year. Kumbaga, imbes na fruitcake, mug, o kalendaryo, ito yung pamasko na pinamigay nila. Tapos ngayon binebenta pala for $35!? Benta ko kaya, wala namang namamansin dito sa bahay eh (none of us are big fans of the movie).

VHS yung kasama, pero meron ding nakasingit na mga discs dun sa libro. Hindi ko pa na-dedetermine kung audio CD, VCD o DVD ba iyon. Check ko muna.

Nope, I'm sorry to say but that wasn't photoshop edited for the following reasons:

1.  A lot of people from PinoyDVD, including myself, have seen the DVD at close range. Although not many of us were allowed to touch it, the owner was able to demo it to us when we ransacked his home.

2.  Blitz, the owner, scanned the DVD (since there isn't any available on the net) precisely for this --- to show the elusive RIZAL DVD copy here in the boards.  I highly doubt it if he used Photoshop because (sorry to say this Blitz!) Blitz is not into computers a lot. In fact,  he was trying to send the scanned picture to me for weeks now (Yahoo Messenger, email...) but it took him too long to send it coz he really isn't into computers (sorry again Blitz!)

3.  A lot of us were skeptics at first, but, hey, Blitz showed us the real deal and well, we were speechless.

4.  Blah blah blah blah blah....true...blah...blah...not edited....blah blah blah blah
