The regular 2-disc 499 was beside the 550 with the notebook at Astro Sm Sucat yesterday.

Thanks.  Will be on the look out sa Astro stores in our area.   Smiley

I compared the R3 with a sealed copy of the R1.

1. Although the front and back cover art is quite different, the listed special features are identical on the two releases.

2. On the back cover, the printed running time of the R1 is 115 mins. On the R3, the printed time is 117 mins.! I was thinking there was an "international cut" of the film that was a little longer, so I rushed home to post about it here. However, I just checked the disc itself. The actual runtime of the main feature is only 114 minutes and 46 seconds. So clearly... the 117 mins. running time is just a misprint, sorry!  Grin

Quote
movie lang ba talaga laman ng disc 1?

Movie, 2 1/2 minute trailer, and 40 second commercial for the soundtrack CD.

You are not your DVD collection!

Got to watch it already last night. PQ was a little soft but clean, audio was good (very active mix). I'm content with the R3 already...Warner could've made a better job on the notebook though but for the price, who's gonna argue that this is a steal. Wink

I think the R3 also has both of the (reported) Easter eggs of the 2-disc R1. Found one of them last night on Disk 2:

Select "Features" from the main menu
Highlight "Main Menu" and press the "Down" button on your remote
A large W will appear on top of the menu portion. Select it and you get an animatic of the Mike Teavee song, with the lead Oompa-Loompas in a music video  Grin

The other Easter egg should appear when you complete all the challenges in the Golden Ticket game ... unfortunately I haven't seen it yet because the Augustus Gloop part is sooo difficult  Cheesy

I bought this 2 days ago, it wasnt on display yet & was still in the box when I saw it.

Great PQ and sound, but the LFE in the first part where the trucks were leaving the factory was out of control. The sub was rumbling wildly in an unpleasant way. Anyone else experience this?

PS: I actually experienced this same thing in the P**ted version so I thought that the original wont be like this, but apparently it still is.  (mods delete this part if inappropriate)

Got also my copy yesterday but I settled for the P499 version. I don't like the notebook.

Was in Odyssey Gateway yesterday and they still have around 5 copies of this title plus the notebook ... unlike with the Batman DE, when they didn't have even ONE copy.  Cheesy

That's why I opted for the regular, notebook-less release. Same features naman eh.
