Grin

Yes! Can't wait for MONSTERS, Inc.!!! I'm sorry to all those Shrek fans out there, but I think Monsters really left Shrek in the dirt...I liked the whole movie (even the initial credit sequence), and the only part I loved in Shrek was the first 20 minutes...

It's a must buy for me also.  I like it a lot, it reminds me of my baby (kamukha niya si BOO eh).  Yun nga lang September is too far off,  pag-tyagaan ko muna yung bootleg copy.

Shucks!  Pareho pala tayo.

Dapat mapanood ko kaagad sa gabi before my pamangkins watch it this weekend who are also so excited to watch it - medyo magugulo kasi ang mga iyon eh.

Plus, I can explore the DVD fully.

Aliw pa naman ako duon sa "For the Birds".

So Pareng P@RC I hope I can depend on your usual reliable delivery service... para hindi ako mabitin.

Reposting:

The region 2 version of Monsters, Inc. comes w/ DTS.
But the price is more expensive, around P1,800.
I'm planning to get this version.

but actually, i haven't seen and confirmed it yet, because the online stores i have checked didn't state it (w/ DTS)  Huh

Hi,

Today's the release date of the Monster, Inc DVD in the US...I just got a copy today from Blockbuster Video.  They have an awesome deal.  I paid 26 bucks and I got the Monster, Inc 2-DVD set plus 10 weeks of free DVD rental.  Not bad huh?

I will keep you posted once I see the movie and all its features later tonight...my daughter is dying to see it Smiley

This is really a must have dvd! aside from a great story.
the digital to digital trasfer is such an eye candy,
i can really see each strand of hair in sully's body!  Shocked
and the audio just blew me away...this is truly a first-class 5.1 audio mix...
i'm not sure if it's my new speakers, but it seems they added more oomp! in the .1 LFE channel.

mike's new car is also great for quick audio demo's since it's also presented in a 5.1 mix!

by the way make sure you check out Ponkickies 21 in the 2nd disk...it really cracked me up! i think this was the highlight of the night Wink

this is truly a welcome addition to my reference dvd collection. Cheesy

Just saw Monster's inc being sold in Astro for 750. Same lang ba ito with R1 version?

got his from R3 Releases & Reviews / Monsters Inc

Just got mine last night.  R3 has no fullscreen and no comentary track from the filmakers.  This track pressumably is taken over by the DTS track.  IS that good?  The DTS track, as always, seem louder compared with the DD track.  And anything louder is psychologically better, right?

I just have some comments.  Some titles on disc 1 are repeated on disc 2, namely:  Outtakes, Additional animated features like "Mike's New Car, and abandoned concepts.  On disc 2, you can even access these titles from two different menu points.  Talk about intelligent organization of materials on disc.  Looks like some of these supplements were thrown in on disc 1 as fillers.  R1 kaya pareho rin?  Anyway for P750 compared to P1700 R1, shouldn't complain.
