Best DVD to test your surrounds?

Using some free DVD ripping software, you could compile onto a DVD-R the best scenes from many DVDs by ripping the relevant showcase chapters. Haven't done this myself, but I can see the potential by looking at what those rippers can do

Speaking of best scenes, here's mine. I put them in my DVD-R disk and in my Hard Disk as well. So, everytime I need them, just click and watch. Here's some:

Of course not! I ripped it from my original dvd collections. Yung iba wala pa jan kc di na kasya sa hardisk ko. Mukha bang dinounload? hehehe. Using dvd decrypter, you can rip any chapter you want into your computer HD. Meron kaya mga bosing nada-download na ganito? kung meron man cguro, di quality. The file is big and not recommended for download. Uubos ka ng oras at pera. Ito kc, ripped from original, same output quality. Cge i-reformat ko nlang yung list. Mahirap kc itype lahat ng isa isa kaya ginamit ko nlang yung dos command.

The good news is, yes we can do your scene collections, with animated menu and with sound in each menu.  You can customize it and can compile up to 1 and a half hour of extreme scenes in one dvd-5 disk.

The bad news is, only dolby digital 5.1 audio is allowed. Currently, no dvd author program can encode dts audio.

But I have suggestion. I can extract any chapter you want with dts audio in an mpeg2 format and can burn it in a disk but we cannot create your menu. I think, most of our player can play mpeg2 file. Meaning, continuous ang play nya and use your remote control to step next file.

Sa mga di nakakaalam, dvd video uses mpeg2 format but the file is *.vob. We can extract it into *.mpg and this is also an mpeg2 format, without sacrificing audio and video quality, promise. The bit rate is the same as what is in the source.

Sa mga gustong magpagawa, okay lang poe...kaso konti lang collections ko kc kame-member ko lang September last year. Di naman ako maniningil. Ang babayaran nyo lang kung sakaling gusto nyo, yung meralco...sa isang disk...baka uubos ng less than P10 per disk for electric bill kc matagal i-edit, authoring at burning. Kinakailangan pa i-copy sa hardisk kc aalisin yung audio ng dts at director's commentary audio. Kailangan ang matira lang dolby digital. Pag yung dts compilation naman, kailangan dts audio lang ang matira. Sa blank disk bahala na kayo...marami namang mura jan sa cdrking. PM nyo nlang poe ako.  Thanks and God Bless.

Yes, we can only use that program in extracting dts movie into your blank disk. But this is the entire movie. What we need is the only precious scene and compile it together with other precious scenes into one dvd disk. Actually, you can also use dvd decrypter to extract your chosen dts scenes. The thing is, you may not play it into your stand alone player because it is *.vob file. So you need to author this and create a menu to become a complete dvd movie disk. My list above is the product of dvd decrypter by the way. It's a combination of audio and visual scenes. For example, the The Mask of Zorro 2-disk Superbit Chapter 22 - In pursuit of the fox.vob. I love this scene although not so good for audio demo because I enjoy their horse riding with some humor. So I extract this and the product is *.vob. So how can I play this into my pioneer player? I need to re-author this and create movie disk. In short, DVD Shrink is used to extract while Ulead is used to create new dvd disk. The problem is, ulead cannot accept *.vob at the moment, its incompatible. Actually I'm using their latest version. Maybe Ulead have no license agreement with dts company.

What do you mean whole movie? Maybe you want to back-up your precious dvds. Actually that's what I'm currently doing in my collections because sawa na ako magpahiram ng orig dvd sa mga friends ko kc pagbalik puro gasgas at lukot. Kaya back-up nlang ipinapahiram ko sa kanila.

Di naman...ito lang tlaga pinakahihintay kong media. As I said above, 160 Gig hardisk ko...balak ko pa nga dagdagan ng 200 gig. Kung magkakaroon na ng blu-ray, 25Gig or 50Gig din yun...imagine, P10 isa sa CDrking isang blank nito...grabe...di na ko bibili ng another hardisk. Pero sa tingin ko kailangan ko pa rin bumili kc...expect na mas malalaking file ang gagamitin ng blu-ray movies.

Malay natin magkaroon din ng PinoyBVD hehehe.

I have those titles, Hero R1 w/ English, HOFD DTS-ES, etc. And just arrived yesterday fr. Hong Kong : Blade Trinity, Stealth DTS, Sin City, Underworld superbit, seven DTS-es, ANtZ (DTS), Hitchhikers guide & Resident Evil Apocalypse DTS-ES. 

I would love to have a compilation sampler of these DTS DVDs, need to watch em first though so I would know which chapter is good for LFE or Surrounds.

If you could find a way to make a DTS demo disk w/ menus I will be on the way to your place with these titles
