I may not believe it myself, but it's always The Cutting Edge that I usually replay especially if I want to relax, relaxing in a way that I will not think or scrutinize the movie I'll be watching... Just for fun... Toepick!!!

I join the bandwagon for Finding Nemo! When the kids watch it kasi, I have to be round to make sure they don't handle the disc itself hehe.. OC talaga  Wink

Also, Fight Club and Almost Famous, IMHO, two of the best films ever made!

Of course if I had Friends on dvd instead of on vcd, they would be the uber-played dvds.. which makes upgrading them my next big project  Grin

« Reply #188 on: Sep 29, 2004 at 01:29 AM »

mine would be

Someone Like You - watched it for the nth time
Moulin Rouge - just love the songs here

and although I've watched it a few times pa lang since I've just acquired it yung mga korean dvds

Little Bride
My Sassy Girl
Il Mare

first viewing i try to concentrate on the subtitle, second viewing subtitle needs a few deciphering, 3rd viewing watch the facial expressions of the characters, 4th-nth viewing replay my favorite scenes or watch it all over again...

for me:

Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Platinum edition) - absolutely love the films! the way the book was interpreted in the film...the packaging of the dvd giftsets (though i only got the argonauth statues, hehehehehe  Grin)..... the extended edition that really gives you the ultimate experience since the cut scenes/new scenes were really re-worked into the film...and the soundtrack itself, gandang ringtone sa phone - hehehehehehehehe  Cheesy

Harry Potter series - well the movie is not an accurate depiction of the books (well, hey, when does this actually happen anyways?  Wink), but since i like the books, might as well get the dvds....though my fave so far is Prisoner of Azkaban coz it basically feels like the essence of the book was represented in the film (though i do miss the Quidditch match)....and of course, ganda ng polytone nito....hehehehehe

for my mom (and me of course):

Josh Groban Live at the Greek - my first concert dvd....my brothers hated it when we play this....hehehehehehehe...but the selection for this concert works for us  Cool

Here are some of my oft-watched DVDs:

- Superstar (Molly Shannon of SNL at her best - "I'm not a whore! I'm not a whore! I'm not a whore!" - the scene at the confessional chamber is a must watch)

- Muriel's Wedding - come to think of it, this film (another one about instant gratification),is quite disturbing, but I am addicted.  Scene worth repeating - the one where her best friend (played by Rachel Griffiths) tells the group of mean girls "I'd rather swallow razors blades than have a drink with you" then cut to the scene where they do the Abba impersonation.  Priceless!

THE BREAKFAST CLUB- 100 times already. The opening scene, more than 100 times.

ST. ELMO'S FIRE- 100 times already. I'm a certified Brat Packer, er, Brat pack fan.

DEAD POETS SOCIETY- 50 times the whole movie, 100 times the protest scene near the end of the film.

GLADIATOR- this is beginning to be a broken record on my dvd player, 10 times already. Its like you're watching it first time always! Sir Ridley Scott is truly the man with cinema's greatest eye! Bar none!!!

FIGHT CLUB- 20 times

LOTR TRILOGY- 10 times

On TBC & St. Elmo's, I can now memorize all the dialogues in that movie. Move, on talisman30.  Grin
