hi everyone!

the Holy Week is just a few days away. other biblical movies are already on hand. just want to ask which between the two is the better choice. if there is any other title/s which you think is better, please recommend.

thanks! Smiley

Jesus of Nazareth

Same here.

I recall watching this with my late father sa Channel 9 yata in the late 70s.  I've been trying to find any clear version but could only get The Miracle Worker and The Ten Commandments.

brader pao!!!! nanonood ka pala nyan?!  Grin Roll Eyes

The Passion of The Christ is a tad too heavy for me. It's still "The Redeemer" for me.

i used to have "The Greatest Story Ever Told". however, i "lost" it even before i could view it. and now, i'll be asking my sister to buy "Jesus of Nazareth" for me.  Tongue

Reviving this thread...

When I was young we used to watch The 30 Commandments (The Ten Commandments * 3) in one day dahil yun lang ang VHS tape na meron kami.

Any recommendations for this coming long weekend?

Too many choices on my "shelf". Recently completed all 4 season DVDs of Battlestar Galactica so I'll marathon the final season of that.

Then there are the avenger movies I'll re-watch:

Iron Man
Iron Man 2
The Incredible Hulk
Captain America
Thor

I have Lourdes (2009) but cant bring myself to watch since i have planned road to avengers  marathon din (Iron Man 1, 2, Hulk, Thor)
for the kids/kids at heart, dapat meron kang Hop (Easter Themed) and Muppets

For short viewing lang while on the road, big bang series is a sure-fire winner

I'm going to share in the suffering, passion and death of Jesus Christ by subjecting myself to Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, Disaster Movie and Vampires Suck.

My forehead will be bleeding with repeated face palms just like the scourging at the pillar and my soul will suffer and die by the end of this ordeal.
