What program do you use to keep track of your DVD collection?

I use profiler and I always allot an hour on inputting my collection. Ive been at it for a month now di pa rin tapos. Its one of the best programs out there (its free too!), but if your looking for a fast file program use ms excel

I use dvdspot.com.. it's fairly easy to use and you can track your dvds online...

you can catalog your dvds according to what you own.. what you've watched.. wishlists..ordered lists.. loaned dvds...

in your front page, you can even see how much is the retail value of your dvds and compare to how much you actually paid for them (tho you have to convert to dollars)

it also has stats on which director is on most of your dvds etc...

Yes pjayg dvdspot.com has both import and export features using the basic .txt files or .csv

I suggest you try the site.. if they don't have your title, you can just add the title and you'll be given a spot contributor ticket if approved

Wow this is a nice thread.  Am old-school so I've been using Excel as a simple log-sheet with five vertical columns - Title/Region/Source/Ownership/Price.  Sobrang simple lang but it works for me.  Galing nung mga applications which were mentioned here, will try them out.  Even putting your archives on line - sure there would be trade-offs (accumulation of user-data), but you do benefit from it as well so why not.  Thanks for the posted 'tools.'

Any suggested application for a mac user like me? DVD Profiler works fine in my compaq notebook but I don't have a counterpart application for my mac. Any suggestions?

You can use Delicious Library 2 http://delicious-monster.com, been using it since version 1.5. You can scan your dvd UPC code to a webcam, it will fetch the info directly from Amazon. Problem lang if your dvd is local, you have to type the title para search ng delicious library the correct dvd info. No problems with warner dvd R3, scanner works fine. Medyo expensive nga lang around $40, pero if you have a massive library sobrang useful to. They're developing an iphone app para pwede mo na rin dalhin library mo anywhere.

Kahit books, apparel, toys, gadget, videogames, cd's kasama sa app. You can also add your friends para ma-track mo mga borrowers. Integrated na rin to your ical para ma-remind ka if it's overdue already.

Just discovered an iPhone app for this.

It's called iCollectMovies (http://www.icollectmedia.com/). You get to back up the data in your iPhone to the web, just in case.

The great thing about it is that you just scan the bar code of the DVD and it will automatically fetch the data. Not 100% though, siguro 50-60% lang ang success rate. I noticed this to be so especially in C-Interactive and Viva DVDs. Dunno the technology for the bar codes, so I'm guessing it's not the same for every region. My theory is the support is mostly for US bar codes.

If the barcode thing doesn't work, you can search through the database.
