Baka naman this is one of those budget versions. Style ngayon ito ng Magna eh (E.g. Stealth, Bewitched, The Longest Yard, Hitch, etc.)

i think they will be dropping thier prices...

my friend just bought bewitched and shrek 2, which goes on sale for 475... and they were not the dvd-5 versions that were released before... they were the actual dvd releases of the film, complete with special features... i don;t know if they're holdng the 475 price tag permanent, or it may just be a 'xmas' sale...

Shrek 2 is usually 475 during sales.  But Bewitched has two versions.  One is 895 and the budget 475 version.  If he got the 895 for 475, then that's good as long as it's really the full featured one.

phildo, i have noticed that all dvd specs are borrowed from cdwow? are you sure what cdwow posted will mirror the local release?

alright.. from experience, HK releases are different from local releases. but this is a good way to gauge interest (for the studios) to pursue local release.

I just saw a budget DVD of this at P475 at Tower Rec Glorietta. They are also selling a two-pack DVD of The Mask of Zorro and The Legend of Zorro at only P750. The biggest question: is this DVD5 or DVD9? The cover of the R3 2-pack is quite similar to the P375 releases (ung may anamorphic 2.35 pa na nakasulat) so there's a chance it is DVD9. But then if you do the math (Mask of Zorro budget DVD 299 + Legend 475) = P774, so most likely baka pinagsama lang yung 2 budget DVDs in one pack.

Anyone who bought this?

Yun din ang tanong ko?  Kung may nakabili na ng Twin Pack Edition kindly inform us if they are DVD9.  Mas maganda kung yung The Mask of Zorro na kasama sa package ay yung Deluxe Edition (P895).  I also saw the P475 version, tinapalan ng papel yung Special Features, ang pangit.

Luckily, merun empty case na nakadisplay sa National Bookstore Greenbelt ng Twin Pack Edition.  I asked the saleslady kung pwede makita laman nito.  As expected, pareho DVD 5 ang laman (P299 and P475 versions).

Fyi sa mga gusto bumili.

watched the movie last night and the pq and aq is not as bad as other budget DVD's

I'm really wondering why this title didn't get a full-featured 895 DVD9 release in the country. I mean, even "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo" got 2 versions out locally.

I wasn't happy with the PQ of the budget version on my LCD monitor. Noticed a lot of banding.
