I downloaded an anime file with *.OGM extension.

What software do I need to play it? convert to DVD or Divx?

to play it, you can use VLC media player. if you prefer to use windows media player instead, download the k-lite codec pack (google it) and you should be good to go. hope this helps.

but what if i want to play it in my divx capable dvd player, what do i need to do with the ogm file.

Depends on your DVD player if it supports ogm files. My Philips DVP5500S supports ogm files. I just burn and play.

Download and install OGG codecs. From there you can view the files using a computer or convert it to DIVX, AVI, or other formats.

How about converting an OGM file so it can be played in a stand alone Divx player like the Xtreme ?
The OGM file I have played on the Philips and Pioneer DVD/Divx player but was nto recognized by the Xtreme.
I tried using the Divx create & the Auto GK, but it didn't recognized the file...Help  Tongue :'(
