browse the CD that came with your burner... look for a folder that as the word "update" in it. run the "setup" program in that folder.

be advised that the LG-ODD update program will run everytime you open windows.  Smiley

there are conflicting reports 'net-wide on what exactly is the latest firmware for the H22L... some say there's a v.1.01... but all who mention it have it pre-installed in drives manufactured on October 2006. the later-made ones came with v.1.00 naman. very strange.

if there is a v1.01, LG isn't offering it yet. at least, not for download. baka may nag-leak na mga "engineering models"?... kaya may v.1.01 na lumabas.

the H22N tho... already has a v.1.01 available.

hope that helps...  Wink

Sir, maybe it has something to do with the disc media, or maybe the speed of burning.

What DVD-/+R did you use and at what speed did you burn the movie?

I always burn one speed lower than the maximum burn speed of the disc. And I always make it a point to verify disc (in Nero and DVDDecrypter).

For PS2 back-ups, I always burn at a fixed speed of 4X regardless of the disc's max burn speed using Alcohol 120%.

Pixellations also happens to my burns, when played using my Orange generic DVD player. Most of the times, it's the player that's at fault. When I switch to my Nextbase player, no pixellations whatsoever.

Sir, try the disc again using another player.

I'm using an LG GSA-H10N.  I think this is an older model since I've had this model for more almost three years now.  This baby will burn on anything!

Btw, I burn a lot of DVDs and LG DVD-writers have always lived up to expectations.  My first one conked out... on its 11th month!  Lucky for me, the warranty is for one year.  So I went back to Rising Sun and returned the drive.  After a few days, they replaced it with a brand new LG DVD-writer.  And that one went on to live for over a year, I think.  I didn't count anymore since it's past warranty already.  And it also died eventually.  This is my third LG DVD-writer.  Money well-spent, if you ask me.  I don't expect these drives to live forever.

Korek!  Natatawa na nga lang ako sa mga bumibili sa CD-R King ng DVDs.  Tagal nilang pumili, dami pang tanong kasi worried sila na baka hindi magwork sa DVD writer nila.  Eh ako, kinukuha ko lang, whichever is the cheapest and aesthetically pleasing, confident that whichever I purchase will work on my LG GSA-H10N.
