I have spoken to GMA Films' supervising producer.  Currently on the works are the movies of the said company!  This will include Rizal!!!!  Something to really look forward to in the future esp. for us collectors!  Yipee!

As far as I know, what had been released are Marilou Diaz-Abaya's JOSE RIZAL (1998) and SA PUSOD NG DAGAT (1998).  They also released Cesar Montano's PANAGHOY SA SUBA (2004) and LIGALIG (2006).

I'm very disappointed with the quality of our pinoy dvds...i bought Panaghoy sa Suba because i love bohol but even my sister noted that the video looked like it was a VCD copy. dapat daw pina-test ko muna sa seller kung dvd copy na. hehehe...Jose Rizal was a little better but you could really see pixellation in dark scenes...mas maganda pa yung oro, plata , mata which is an old movie! himala is pwede na, considering that it's also an old movie. looks like the one they show on cinema 1, with japanese subtitles on the right side. crying ladies is better but i noticed that it's region 3...sayang papadala ko sana abroad. all the rest of the dvds are region-free.
