On NERO Disc Quality Test at 4x, PIE should not exceed 280; PIF should not exceed 4.

PIE (Parity Inner Error) is a correctable error; PIF (Parity Inner Failure) is an uncorrectable error.  Hence, PIF readings are more important.

The maximum PIF value of 4 is for scans at 1 ECC intervals, such as Lite-on drives.   For drives using 8 ECC (such as my BenQ writer), maximum PIF is 32.
