The least that you can do is set your tv in "zoom" format para lumaki yung screen,though if you do that, some images on screen will be lost but minimal lang.

I haven't bought any dvds for the longest time locally so I'm not so updated but yesterday saw some on sale.

Boxsets at 50%
bought the following
30 rock season 1  600 pesos
30 rock season 2  600 pesos
Life of Mammals    600 pesos
Bible Mysteries (forgot the exact title sa boxset) also 600 pesos

I think this is the lowest price these boxsets ever hit? or out of date lang ako on the pricing recently ..

Hey members, just went to Astro Podium, they're preparing the DVDs for sale tomorrow till Sunday (Dec.4-6, 2009). When i went there earlier only Universal DVDs are ON SALE....and its waaaaay toooo loooooow. Lower than the previous prices. Its awesome!!! I just bought 30 Rock Seasons 1 and 2 for only P200 each. Some other titles were Heroes Season 3 for only P500, The Office Season 2 for P300, etc. Movies were priced from P100 up.

I also asked the Viva rep if they're DVDs are on sale tomorrow as well, she said, "opo sir, mas mababa ito kaysa sa mga lumang sale namin! Hindi po ito yung 2 for P450. Wala pa nga lang yung prices sakin pero mas mababa po talaga" Hmmmm... is this a good sign? Hopefully! Come on Viva!!!

Nope. Same as with other stores. Made the effort to go and check it out hoping to see some Viva titles (such as Valkyrie, The Boy in Stripped Pyjamas hopefully down from 750... but its still 750!).

All other other titles are still buy 1 take 1 at 450.

Maybe the Viva Rep was referring to the old "foolscreen" releases w/c are around 100 bucks (or 2 for 250)

As stated in the Universal Studio thread, it seems Magnavision is dumping all their Universal DVDs.  So if you come across any that you like, it's better to get them now or risk not getting them at bargain price.  Okay, the price might get even lower, but then again, it might be sold out, as it seems unlikely, that Magnavision will be able to restock them.

The four you mentioned (if my memory serves me right) are okay.

It is on the 2nd floor of Eastwood Mall (the new mall, not at Eastwood Citywalk). There is no Astro or Odyssey store per se. They just have a set-up right outside the entrance doors of the 2nd floor.
