Sale din ba dito yung mga steelbooks?

Went there last Thursday, pero wala akong nakitang steelbooks.  Baka nakatago lang.  Best to ask the salesperson.

This morning, Astrovision (Greenbelt branch) had a DVD sale at the Glorietta Activity Center. I bought the following:

1. A Beautiful Mind     P187.50
2. S.W.A.T.     P150
3. A Knight's Tale     P150
4. Beowulf (2-Disc Special Edition)     Buy 2 for P450 = P225
5. The Matrix     Buy 2 for P450 = P225
6. Roman Holiday     P150
7. It's a Wonderful Life     P150
8. Wall-E (2-Disc Special Edition)     P450

Also this morning, Astroplus in SM Makati (right next to Glorietta) also had a big selection on sale. Bought the following:

1. Casino Royale (2-Disc Collector's Edition)     P375. (In the Glorietta sale, this was more expensive at P475)
2. Back to the Future 1     P150
3. Back to the Future 2     P150 (no more part 3.. bummer)

They also had BattleStar Galactica (tv series) on sale, P400-P500 per season. Only seasons 1-3 were available, no season 4.

I don't get why Season 4 & Season 4.5 of BSG are nowhere to be found. I had to resort to other means to get my copy.

Maybe due to market forces.  Baka hindi masyadong mabenta yung naunang seasons that's why they decided not to release the other seasons here.

This coming weekend (April 30, May 1 and 2, 2010), merong mall-wide sale sa Megamall.  I'm not sure kung meron din sa ibang SM malls.  Pero I heard na automatic 10% reduction sa prices.  Check it out.

Astroplus sa SM north The Block, same items on sale...plus american gangster for P499.  Too bad i have these titles already.  Hindi pa din nakasale steelbooks from warner...bummer...

There's an ongoing CD & DVD sale in Glorietta (in the activity area). Last day today. It's part of Ayala Makati's Double Midnight Madness sale this weekend. There are Buy 1 Take 1's (for 450 and 599) for Warner, Buy 1 Take 2's for Magnavision, 299's for Viva, and the usual sale prices (and 10% off for new titles) for C-Interactive.

Man I miss these Astro sales. I remember before pag sale sa Podium most of us go crazy . They need to do something to spice these up again. Sana naman big sale on Blu-rays. .

BDs are still P999.  Nawala na rin yun P750 bumalik na sa P999.   If you know amazon prices and if you order regularly from pinoy dvd, mahal pa rin yun P999 at P750.  I look forward to the day when BDs will sell at, say P400 to P500.  Yan buhay na naman tayo nyan, parang old Astroplus days na umaga pa lang e nakabantay na tayo..

As for DVDs, for me the only ones worth buying are those boxsets on sale. Other than that, bihirang bihira na ako bumili ng dvd talaga.

I was at megamall yesterday, man nakakahilo, so many people. I didn't even get a chance to go to Astro bec. of the crowd. But Astro sale no longer excites me. ..Before kahit I'm really tired I will still go kahit I walk from Shangrila mall. Yes, Im waiting for 499 peos bds , especially the catalogs. 999 for catalogs are just crazy imo.

Since it's released by Viva, I'd say quality is exactly the same as the region 1 counterpart.  Is it a 7 discer?  The region 1 is a 7 discer.  Sa packaging lang talaga nagkaiba but sa quality, pareho lang sila ng imported.

Astroplus in Galleria are in Sale last sunday,Im not sure if ongoing pa....actually good deals tlga ung sale,aside from dvd's na worth  99, all disney animated film na 299 before is 175 pesos na po and some of this dvd's are in 2disc collector's item pa. those dvd's na worth 375 pesos are 187.50 pesos na.dapat matiyaga lang po kau guys na isaisahin tingnan ung mga dvd para makita nio ung mga must finds nio na movie...
