PS3 as a blu-ray player

Hi.  Anyone who purchased a new Asian PS3 Slim lately?  Can you confirm if it can play Region B Blu-ray movies?

I have the asian ps3 last bought on August. I don't have a region b bluray but i tried to play a region b dvd and it did not play.

My Fat PS3 has been choosy in playing bds both movies and games lately. Some will play and some will not.  Is this a sign for a lens replacement?

This is what I fear.  I thought the model that I have is the sturdier one.  Now am contemplating on having the lens replaced or just add a little for a new one.

Tekken ba or Ridge Racer?  Tekken ok pa.  Ridge Racer di ko pa na-try.  Batman BD and Simpsons game palang so far ang sumasablay.  Need to test more.

I think I'll take option B.   I inquired at a shop in Greenhills last year and they are giving my PS3 P7k as trade in value.  Maybe I'll just add a little nalang for a new one.

Haven't tried Ridge Racer.  Pero di ko pilitin itesting kung papalitan ko na.
