question lng po.. kpag more than 50$ ang oorderin ko, how much po un tax? this is my first time to try to order at amazon kasi.. thanks.. Smiley

DVDs are subject to a 10% tax rate, plus 12% E-VAT, plus customs charge, plus other charges, which would all cost you around half of your original purchase price plus shipping.  Di talaga recommended na mag-order ng more than $50.00.  Swerte mo lang kung ang ginamit na courier ng pinagbilihan mo is may connections sa Royale Logistics.  Deretso na sa address mo yun.

I just ordered a book from Amazon worth $23.47 (includes shipping), the delivery estimate is around April 6 - April 26. I hope that I don't have to pay the tax for this item.  Grin

That's according to the regulations, pero may bagong "scheme" ang Customs.  Pag hindi daw philosophical and educational ang book, subject to tax daw.  Kaya nga matagal nawalan ng Twilight series sa mga bookstore dahil nabinbin sa Customs.  Issue yan dati eh.

issue nga dati but its been resolved when president arroyo castigated the customs for putting taxes on books.. remember that the UN intervened when this issue arose last year..

No taxes.. Just have your friend bring it out to you Wink

do you live in the u.s.? if you do, then i think it can be a good card to use if you will shop on amazon often, you earn points, a joining rebate. but if you are here in the philippines. i dont think you will be allowed to get one. you will need a u.s. address to be able to sign up.

unless you have relatives living in the u.s. you can use their address, but the bills will always be course through there and the hassle on how you will pay them to settle the billings.

Anybody have experience with Amazon Japan? A lot of the items can't be shipped internationally, are there any forwarders like Johnny Air so I can order from Japan, address it to them, and they themselves will ship it here?

Question po..

Paano po ba if yung item from Amazon e hindi Amazon yung seller? Paano po pag bumili ako ng items na yung isa hindi Amazon ang seller at yung iba Amazon ang seller. Magkahiwalay po ba ang shipping nun?

I just realized my last three Amazon.Com shipments by DHL International (Priority Shipping) all arrived at my doorstep without any customs due.

Maybe they've changed their policy?

That's really good news Mr. Hankey. Each shipment what's the estimated value? Is it less than $100?
On an average, how long does it take to reach your doorstep?

One was almost $150, the other two were under $100. I noticed the boxes didn't have the price of the order printed on them anymore, just on the invoice inside. But nothing's to stop them from opening that and checking the invoice, right?

All three took 5 days.

Hi guys,

I'm planning to buy used Blu-rays in Amazon. Any recommendation for a 3rd party seller that gives free shipping and good items.

Thanks.

amazon gives free shipping for blurays on orders above 25$, but the free shipping is for the continental usa, i dont think their is free international shipping though.

You can try sellers like Warehouse Deals & Grassroots Books. It depends on the items. Some they may provide free shipping while others they may not provide. The best way to check is to click on the item you want & tick on the "FREE Super Saver Shipping offers only" option. There you will able to see all those listed items available for FREE shipping (if any). From time to time other sellers may provide free shipping too (usually tru "Fulfillment by Amazon")

e.g. AMAZON
