I called but no word yet. They'll get back to me as soon as they hear from the higher-ups. Problem is that the sets were imports so they don't actually have spare boxes on hand.

Even if they want to, I doubt Warner could replace those boxes.  As stated by Firewired, they are imported, and I doubt there will be spares, especially that piracy is rampant in these parts, they wouldn't print extras.

Past problems with labels like the Batman and The Departed (Scorsese on Scorsese) one were not rectified, so I doubt it will be this time.

Damages due to S/H are unfortunate but they were there when it was sold, there's  presumption that it was bought with full knowledge of the damage.

Still, if Warner could replace them, It would be for the best... just don't hold your hopes up too much...

i hope they could do something like a "mail in" replacement. just like what universal did with the r1 BTTF dvd.

Hi just wanna ask if the P599 is also the same with all versions of 300? I mean, hindi ba budget dvd yung P599 na DVD5 lang? Lahat ba ng features kasama din dito? Kasi I'm just after the movie and yung magandang PQ and AQ.  T.I.A.

Yeah it is the same. It only doesn't have the booklet and a slipcase, that's why it's cheaper.

Yes munky, only available in MNL. You can even hear that same comment on some A/V store here who are not aware of the giftset.

Here's what DVD Movie Guide had to say about the video quality of the Region 1 version:

300 appears in an aspect ratio of approximately 2.35:1 on this single-sided, double-layered DVD; the image has been enhanced for 16X9 televisions. Across the board, the transfer satisfied.

Sharpness always looked good. From start to finish, I thought it appeared crisp and concise, with virtually no instances of softness to distract. The image lacked jagged edges or shimmering, and edge enhancement appeared to be absent. In terms of source flaws, the movie often looked grainy, but this occurred due to stylistic choices; the grain appeared during theatrical screenings as well and was supposed to be there. Otherwise the flick lacked any defects.

Another stylistic choice affected the colors of 300. Essentially, the movie came devoid of most hues, as it often favored either a mild golden tint or a chilly blue tone. Occasionally I saw slightly warmer colors like some rich reds, but those were rare. Within the film’s design, the hues looked solid. Blacks were deep and dense, while shadows seemed clear and smooth. This was a solid visual presentation.

Yes tama itong review, got my bluray na 2day..... ang layo ng r3. barely noticable na yung mga grains, very crisp and ang ganda talaga ng depth sa bluray.

I promised the sales staff of Astro Megamall that i'm gonna post here that they still have steelcase versions of 300. The regular and slipcased are sold out.

Hmmm...baka by Christmas those steelcases could be the only ones left on SALE for 299 or 350.
