Its good that Unitel pictures will be releasing five Brocka movies in dvd this month of June. They are:

Tatlo, Dalawa, Isa
Insiang
Ang Tatay Kong Nanay

Let us support Tony Gloria for this milestone.

Brocka's HOT PROPERTY was also on their line-up. BTW what happened with KISAPMATA dvd? Many film enthusiasts are already looking for it.

Is that for real? What I heard was that Unitel's releasing it towards the end of the year.

If it's true, tho, it's very good news. Hopefully Dave Kehr reviews them for the New York Times.

most probably. but, for me, what matters is the film itself, that we get to own a copy of such classic pinoy films.  Wink

That's the least we can have for our own classic films.

Update on this.  I ordered Insiang and Tinimbang on Cine Filipino and I received an e-mail informing me that the DVDs will be released by mid-October and my order will be processed around that time.

Good news friends!

Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Kulang and Insiang are now available at POWERBOOKS. I bought my copy at Alabang Town Center. Price is at 450pesos.

As much as i want to make screencaps i can't since my DVD-rom is locked for R1. Here is the backcover though.

That's fantastic news, thanks riverfan!

You're welcome, sir.

The DVDs are not yet prominently displayed. I was actually just passing by and the staff was rearranging the DVDs and audiobooks. I noticed that there where some strange colored DVDs hidden among the stack. To my surprise, Insiang and Tinimbang... I only had money for 1 purchase so i grabbed Tinimbang. Will probably buy Insiang on saturday.

2 down, 3 to go... at least for the titles mentioned on the press. Looking forward to Angela Markado, Ang Tatay Kong Nanay and Tatlo, Dalawa, Isa
