Yes it's tad too early but hopefully they will release this with a Giftset as well. Maybe a miniature Camero  Roll Eyes that transforms to Bumblebee.  Grin

This movie really cries out for a gift set.  Hopefully, the bots will better than those Jollibee Kiddie meal inclusions.   Oh well, those folks at Paramount/Magnavision has 4-5 months to plan it pa naman... in time for the holiday season...

If it's from paramount/magnavision.  Surely it will be a crap.  But it was release via Solar films right?  Who handles releases for Solar films?

It's not bad that everybody's already anticipating this release and thinking of what goodies will be included with the DVD. But I think R1 will be the better choice. Steelcase with an included "mini"-bot wouldn't be bad. Grin for the R3...a lenticular slipcase would be nice...small steps lang muna siguro expectation ko for the R3. Wink

In fairness to Magna, they did release good copies of Mission: Impossible III (Paramount) and War of the Worlds (Paramount/Dreamworks).

Di naman.  Solar only acts as the local releasing arm for films from Universal, Paramount, & Dreamworks.  It doesn't have anything to do with DVD releases.  This is Magnavision's turf.   Smiley

If this would be c-interactive release with no changes from their previous releases then i'm not getting anywhere near it.  Unless they'll go for R1 like they did with LOTR: ROTK.

depends on what is in the package.  if it's a simple 2-disc dvd w/ slipcase...siguro mga 1,200.

if it's a 4-disc giftset or something..mga 2,500.

.........region 1 of course.

What duncanfranchise said. Solar's been releasing those companies theatrically, but their DVDs are with Magna, which has given us excellent recent releases like Casino Royale.

When Solar theatrically releases New Line pictures and those of smaller companies/movies co-financed by foreign distribution deals, that's when C-Interactive gets a crack at local DVD rights. Since Paramount has all international rights to Transformers, I think we're safe to assume this DVD won't be from C-Interactive.

Somehow, I feel the best version of this DVD will be a 'Best buy R1 exclusive.'

Most Magnavision gift set are nothing to write home about; Even Da Vinci Code has a nice cryptex but poor quality packaging.  Here's hoping they would not screw up this one...

It's true that most Magnavision sets leave much to be desired, but one thing that hasn't ceased to astound me is the number of PinoyDVD members who feel the R3 The Da Vinci Code had poor quality packaging. Did you guys see the R1 version, with its cheap printed cardboard and cellophane box? I mean, at least ours had the leatherette binder thing and a metallic slipcase inside - nothing fancy, but hardly what I'd personally consider "poor quality."

Since I don't really place a premium on packaging, my standards are lower than many of you, I suppose.

to each his own nga siguro sir...I myself don't mind getting my hands on boxed sets/gift sets, as long as the movie is really really good. Wouldn't mind getting one for this movie...enjoyed it very much. Grin we should consider ourselves lucky that local distributors recognize the craving of DVD collectors here for special releases. They're still learning...so I suggest we keep them at their toes and let them know what would really excite us. Grin

Hopefully, the bots will better than those Jollibee Kiddie meal inclusions.

funny  Grin

sana nga hasbro would re-issue their gen-one bots with the same build quality back in the 80s, kahit 2500 ang presyo or above, bibili pa rin ako. meron ko lang si jazz na panay gazz gazz at si soundwave. may nagnakaw kasi ng optimus ko nung grade one ako. p*cha halos ka-bewang ko height ng optimus ko nun eh

maglalabas ang Takara Tomy ng re-issue of 4 figures using the same G1 molds, dunno about the build quality like diecast parts, etc; Optimus, Soundwave, Megatron and Starscream will be the ones re-issued under the Encore line Cheesy
