Thanks Paul very much, ya collecting is pretty addictive...The titles I dont like so far are The Contract and Perfect strangers. To me not worth it, not really good movies IMO..Its just ok

What bd player are you currently using and how much did it cost you?

I have a PS3 already but I didn't buy this for blu-ray concerns since I am more on a gamer - but lately, reading threads about blu-ray, it really made me wonder what's the feeling of watching a blu-ray film, sooo now, I am planning to buy a stand alone bd player or i will just stick to my PS3 player for it - tho i don't know if there will be a big difference on it's performance and lastly, im just worried that my bd drive might fail easier/faster when using it as a bd player and at the same time for console gaming... Too bad PS3 has no local warranties.. :s

btw, to those who collected over a 100 of blu-ray films... gratz! nice collection there.. I envy you ladies.

The ps3 is one of the best bluray players out there. You can use it to play bluray. I know what you mean standalone is better for playing movies, but kinda expensive at the moment. The pic quality is quite good for the ps3 comparing it to standalones. I know what you mean about abusing the drive playing so many things. Thats my concern also but a lot is saying its ok...Im just waiting for standalones to come down before getting one also.

Just make sure your ps3 has lots of breathing room, placing them on those glass racks for me is the best. That way its open from front, rear and sides. To me try not to put them on those enclosed racks, wood type, laminated wood type. For the breathing room for that is only the front. Just my opinion..Coz ps3 tends to get really hot..

Thanks for the kind tips there. My PS3 is placed on a glassed top table, positioned vertically and has at least 12-14 inches spacing on the rear exhaust (where the cables located) and a couple of centimeters on the right side (the base part if positioned horizontally).

I agree with pchin, going format neutral really helped me spend more money than i should have. I have no regrets though.
