BDA Renews "Five Free Blu-ray Discs" Offer

The Blu-ray Disc Association has renewed its "Five Free Discs" offer through the holidays, refreshing the list of available Blu-ray titles.

The terms of the renewed program mirror those of the one that expired on September 30. Consumers who purchase any of the 18 qualifying Blu-ray players (including the PlayStation 3) will automatically qualify to receive five free Blu-ray movies via a mail-in offer.

The 18 titles offered this time around are: 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl,' 'Wild Hogs,' 'American Psycho,' 'Chain Reaction,' 'The Devil's Rejects,' 'Flight of the Phoenix,' 'Full Metal Jacket,' 'Hart's War,' 'The Last Waltz,' 'The Omen,' 'The Patriot,' 'The Prestige,' 'Species,' 'Stir of Echoes,' 'Superman: The Movie,' 'S.W.A.T.,' 'Swordfish' and 'Ultraviolet.'

Yep Ray, I hope so hehe... Grin

I'm still eyeing for the right model & price. There's a candidate na but it's pricey... :'(

I'm aftering for the built-in DTS-HD Master Audio decorder so that I can take advantage of my current HDMI equipped AV receiver. So far, there's no players that have this feature yet. Embarrassed

Panning to get the PS3 with the 5 free BD's but will I still get my free BD's via JAC NY?  It have restrictions right like one per household or address?  What if some of us ordered and delivered it to JAC NY?  Will they still honor my mail-in free BD's?

To be safe, your address printed on the online form should be similar on the purchase receipt. Smiley

Yes but should they honor it?  I'm not the only one who is using JAC address.

By right they should honor it. Technically speaking "one household" means limited one time only for the same person living in a particular address.

e.g. both me & my brother are staying in the same house. If both of us bought a player each on a different day & send in for the rebate. There's no reason why they don't honour it since both purchase receipts show different name tho same address. Am I making sense?  Grin

Perhaps to be really safe, we should use a friend or relative's address? But then again what happen if your friend or relative finally buy one player for himself & send in for the rebate using the same address?  Grin

But if you mail it to a friend or a relative you should also send the PS3 to your friends or relatives address.  I don't know if any pinoy dvd members tried this yet using JAC address.

I know what you meant James. I took a gamble in my HD DVD player case.

I bought it at Amazon & shipped to me tru JAC but for my rebate free discs I used my relative's address. Thus, clearly there's a diffrence in the address shown & I wasn't sure if they would accept my rebate.

Luckily after almost 6 months of waiting my relative finally received the free discs.

Your lucky you still got your free mail in promo.  Now I'm still looking for a friend or relative who is coming home next year or use JAC NY.   Huh
