After a bit of a dry spell the last 2 weekends, the sales are slowly creeping back! First up is Viva with another price-busting weekend at Astro Glorietta 1 (formerly St. Cinnamon). Starts today and ends on Sunday, September 14.

I was able to buy the lenticular Jumper and slipcased 27 Dresses at the Landmark Trinoma Record Bar last night for Php 299 each. Not a special sale. Just your regular Viva across-the-board price reduction.

Buy one take one at 750 and 450 price points.  450 buy one take one consists of those titles that regularly goes for 299 each. 

750 buy one take one include some newer titles like Quantum of Solace, Bedtime Story, Wall E (2-discs), Mirrors, Pinocchio, High School Musical 3.

As posted, the pickings are not that much.  But if you like me, hold off purchasing at full price, then you might be able to pick up a few DVDs.  Saw this at Astro Robinsons and Manila.  Also at Odyssey but at Odyssey, it's mostly the 450 buy one take one. 

As for the Magnavision one, daya minsan, because some titles like BBC Lost Cities of the Ancient (@Php 550) and Faith Like Potatoes (Php 695) is now Php 750.  Buy one take one, still way cheaper.  Titles from Magna includes Kung Fu Panda, Mamma Mia, Hellboy II, Indy Jones 4, Faith Like Potatoes, Fireproof, and a lot more...

I posted this because AFAIK some titles like Quantum of Solace is being discounted for the first time since it's release.  Up to the end of the month lang daw, but as we all know, it will return in one form or another a few weeks, months, or sometimes, days after...

That's Magnavision's property.  I think they are kind of cheap already.  Boxed...probably in the 599 -699 for all three but speculating since I don't really remember.

It was a long wait indeed. Finally got "The Boy In Striped Pyjamas" (375.00 = 50% off) Also saw "Doubt" pegged at 299.00 at Robinson's Place Manila.

I think Doubt should be included in the DVD to avoid list (ie DVD5, little or no features, fullscreen, no subtitles), anyone can confirm this?  Off topic...

Update:  Doubt is probably a good DVD9 release from Viva (judging from the box and price).
