Have you ever heard of "Dolby-approved DTS Digital Surround sound"? Roll Eyes

Read the press release of a Pinoy record company about it: Grin

Dolby Approved DTS Digital Surround Sound is not DTS 5.1.....

Those DVD do not need the approval of Dolby so that it could be DTS 5.1

Maybe it is Dolby Digital but not discrete such as DTS 5.1!

When Philippines start incorporating DTS 5.1 or THX in their theater, that will be nice (although I do not know if it is needed since Philippine movies are almost Love stories, Romance, and the like!)

i hope i got it correctly

but there are a number of THX certified cinemas already in the phils, although maybe not as beautifully designed as those in the states but it's a start, and most "newer" cinemas already offers DTS sound

but if your referring to pinoy movies encoded in DD/DTS, your right, nde ganun ka -feasible

Rizal is one movie i remember that's in DD5.1

Ivory Records releases DVDs for Filipino market
Reads like a press release writen by some buzzword-obsessed PR man.

My head hurt from trying to understand what he's talking about. DTS ba ito or naka Dolby Surround?

So... are there any pinoy DVDs with DD/DTS?

Diba yung Agimat eh 5.1 channel encoded?  Yun ang press release nila na pina-sound engineer pa nila sa Canada.

Yung DVD ba nito eh at least man lang DD 5.1?  Was contemplating in buying pero wala naman nakalagay sa case sa likod.... Huh

I bought Christian Bautista's concert album on DVD and the slip case shows the DTS logo. And yeah when I played it, the sound was really great! Smiley Smiley

Shouldn't the title of this topic be "DD/DTS encoded Pinoy DVDs"?
