Couldn't resist that embossed slipcase, so I bought it at once. Very nice packaging!

I think 99.9% sure meron yan.  But these are A1 releases by Viva.  I will buy this immediately.  I am a fan of the show....will not wait for it to go 299

All 550 price point I think are excellent releases.  It's the dreaded 375 price point you should watch out for.

No Viva logo here. All 20th Century Fox Viva releases are imported, so they don't have the Viva logo. It's the Buenavista Viva eleases (Disney, Touchstone, Miramax) that have Viva markings on them.

Thanks for the heads up!  Just got this title since I wasn't planning on getting the R1.

so, any reviews? how are the features? identical ba to the R1?

Based on the the link you gave, the R1 special features are all in the R3 version (including the two commentaries and all the deleted scenes), except for the Alternate Character Designs featurette.  I think the R1 list omitted the teasers/trailers, but they're all in the R3 too.  I don't think there are any easter eggs though.

PQ's quite good for an animated movie.  It's shown in 2:40:1 Anamorphic Widescreen.  Nice bonus here: the R3 has an English 5.1 DTS track!  Smiley

The packaging is also much better than I expected.  It comes with a Springfield Shopper insert which I suspect is an exact reprint of what comes with the R1 version.

BTW, when you load the disc (designed as a donut), you'll get the obligatory anti-piracy ad and the trailers of the Alvin & The Chipmunks movie (yikes) and the Futurama direct-to-DVD movie.  Fortunately, you can skip these and go straight to the Main Menu, which is quite amusing and typical of what you can expect from a Simpsons DVD.  Spider-Pig finally gets to see some real action.  Smiley

Review can be seen here.

^ Thanks for the info.  The R3 has the same easter eggs - the Alternate Character Designs are also on the R3 and they can be found on the sub-menus of each of the Special Features (by highlighting "Deleted Scenes", "Special Stuff" & "A Lot of Trailers").

I also found another easter egg, and it's on the Language Selection section (by highlighting "Language & Audio").  It's a spoof of the THX Commercial starring Homer.

Looks like everything on the R1 is on the R3 (except, of course, the language selection).  So if you're not too bothered by the measly bonus materials on this title, I'd say the R3 is a pretty good buy.

I agree that at P550, this is already a good buy. Got this yesterday and I'm impressed by the slipcase and the insert inside was a pleasant surprise. I notice lang na galing R1 nga iyong insert kasi in dollars iyong prices na nakaprint.

I wonder if we broke the R3 regional release date. I saw copies in Hong Kong yesterday, but they were behind the counter, and was told they cannot sell them yet.

So I bought the R3 The Bourne Ultimatum: Ultimate 2-Disc Edition instead...  Grin

So it happens huh? - R3 releases having a DTS track as compared to R1s.  This is true for Casino Royale 2 disc.  I bought my R1 copy from ebay and was surprised to see that it has no DTS track ( only 5.1 DD ).  The R3 release being sold locally has a DTS track option.  Interesting.
