Help please.... i have an LG DVD writer... it reads DVDs well no problem... but putting in CD ROM the windows just displays "NO DISC"... testing it further, i set up my PC to BOOT from CD ROM... using a bootable CDROM, it also says DISK BOOT error...

But take note DVDs can be read without problem...

Software problem ba ito? Or is my DVD drive defective? May separate laser/lens ba for DVDs and for CDs?

HELP PLEASE!!! ayoko na gumastos! :'( :'( :'(

Thanks!

try another CDrom (that is known to work), if all CDroms have the same problem, then your unit is likely defective.  The CD you used might also be a non-bootable CD (or it used to boot, but is now defective), therefore your PC will not be able to boot from it.

All CDs are known working... tried it on my laptop drive - no problem. So i guess my drive is defective... last try ko siguro is to setup the drive in another desktop PC and see what happens.

Thanks!
