Got this today at 599 for the 2 disc LE in asto. The second disc does not have that much features though. I was much more interested in the features included in the 1st disc. It's still a good supplement though if you look at the bigger picture.

Anime series ba itong Appleseed or is it a stand alone movie like Akira? I'm interested in this kasi but I don't want to buy this if there is a whole lot of backstory that I would have to watch.

it's a stand alone movie by itself (a short intro tries to explain things at the start) though there was the first appleseed movie which was released in 2004. Appleseed is really a manga during the 80's.

Was it the same steelbook as the one (with Bestbuy Exclusive) pictured below

Though the content of the new Ex Machina is a bit better than the previous one, The Geneon Limited Edition Set is still far better than the WB's/Bestbuy Limited Edition

It was just a regular dvd case and not the steel book. But i guess the contents are the same.
