Unlike Magna boxed sets, the new Viva boxed sets would cost the consumers more. Take for example Viva's Oscar boxed sets. Individually, the titles can be bought at Php 350, max (I think this is the current retail price of old Viva two-disc editions). The only thing that would encourage collectors to buy these sets is the unavailability of one title as a separate release. And if it is true that the Ultimate X-Men (Php 1200) and Ultimate Heroes (Php 1500) collections contain the singe-disc editions of the individual titles, then Viva's really running a scam, as the two-disc editions are Php 350 tops also. Then again, Viva must be charging a hefty premium for the attractive, though ill-designed (similar to the local Batman Anthology set which has no open sides) cardboard box.

No. It has no pictures on the front of the box (at least from what I recall). Just texts over a brushed metal design.

that's the r1 3 disc only version, so most probably, the locally available one's also a three disc affair. Undecided

Nah, Just a silver foil with a big "X" and small "MEN" underneath it back to back (I think it didn't even says "TRILOGY"), anywho I was hoping for a same R3 Spider-man Trilogy release by Magna where they included Spidey 2.1 Sad

Bought the X-Men Trilogy Boxset at Astro SM San Lazaro last Saturday. The package includes the same ones being sold as P299 and/or P350 individually.

X-Men - Single disc only (Not sure kung X-Men 1.5)
X-2 - Double Disc
X-Men The Last Stand - Double Disc

5 discs in all. All are contained in those transparent cases. Maganda lang kasi may box. Though medyo manipis yung paper na ginamit sa box tapos sobrang simple nung artwork - silver lang na may "X" tapos maliliit na photos of each movie.

Not worth it. It would be cheaper to buy them individually (that is, kung P350 na din yung The Last Stand).
Note: I haven't watched this set yet.

Yup, available pa yung X-Men and Marvel Ultimate Heroes boxsets. I've seen them on the shelves of Astro and SM Record Bars. I'm not sure kung kasama sila sa mga sale during weekends or any other sale for that matter. New Releases kasi yang mga yan so most probably regular ang pricing nila.
